This was an eye-opener to me. I'm not a musician; I'm a retired engineer/programmer as well as an amateur video creator/editor. I'm also done sound enforcement mostly for speakers but also for musicians. I have a few questions, which I'll list below. If you can answer it here, cool. If the answer is too long or complex, just give me a link for more info. (I set up an account on the Pianobook website and will join the Discord also.) *QUESTIONS:* 1. I want to set up what I need to use these samples on my Windows 10 computer. I'm an amateur so I want to use free or very low cost software. What software would be good for me to install? 2. I'd like to have a set of sounds that can be used to add foley to theatrical videos. Does Pianobook have any such collections of samples? 3. I edit video with Davinci Resolve which has a foley feature that looks similar to how Decent Sampler could look. Does anyone have experience with this? 4. I have a midi-able keyboard; CASIO CZ-101 and Korg Karma. They are old but functional but use the original five pin MIDI connector. Any suggestions on a MIDI to USB interface? Are there any wireless interfaces? Depending on the keyboard, can I use the control knobs and buttons to control settings in the Decent Sampler? Maybe I should ask these questions on Discord. Thanks for some inspiring software and creative information. That's why I'm now *SUBSCRIBED!*
