Thank you. In 2022 I took over 4,000 clips from various canoe camping and day trips so I decided to string them all together to create this video... all shot from my favorite place to paddle... the Adirondack park. I look forward to checking out your channel... especially the kayak camping vids. Happy Holidays.

All i can say is thank you for your hard work putting this together. I enjoy watching this just as much as my kids do. Greetings from the salzkammergut region in austria

@@CanoeCampClimb I paddle quite a bit on the lakes around here. Canoe with the kids and greenland kayak when I'm just by my selfe. Sadly they are not all that big and there are very few places that could be called 'wilderness'.... but that's where your Video comes in handy.... showing the kids what paddling in the wilderness might look like....

VERY well-done…. I thought your use of audio - both nature and music - to match the environment was superb…. Have hiked and paddled the same at several of those locations and I thought your video truly captured the serenity… saved 1/2 to view later!….
@CanoeCampClimb Жыл бұрын
Thanks a ton RJ. It makes me happy that you notice that. On this video I spent more time on the sound design than the actual visuals. Some times I would turn the volume totally off on a clip (such as the paddling sounds during certain musical sections)... while in other cases I turned it up. Same with the birds. As they say... sound is half the experience.

I love this video. Only thing that bothers me is every time I see y'all in those gorgeous canoes, constantly kayak paddling. Do y'all own a single blade between you even? Lol
@CanoeCampClimb Жыл бұрын
Hey Dan. These are what are known as Adirondack Pack Canoes. They are super lightweight, generally between 18-26 lbs) and the seats sit just a few inches off the bottom of the craft... making the double blade more favorable. They can be outfitted to have a higher seat to make single blade paddling more efficient.

@CanoeCampClimb Жыл бұрын
@@tdg223 The drone images certainly add a nice touch. Drone use in general is a hot button issue. I spend a ton of time making sure I fly legally... and responsibly as to not ruin people's nature experience. If you haven't already please read my info on Adirondack drone use in the description. The fines are pretty heavy for illegal flights. There is a lot of disinformation out there about what is and what is not allowed. The links I posted should help you a lot. The interactive land use map is very helpful. If you have any questions let me know.

Very Nice! You have an artistic eye. What camera(s) are you using.
@CanoeCampClimb Жыл бұрын
Thank you James. I use a couple of iphone 13 pros, a couple of Go Pro 10s, a Sony A7 IV mirrorless camera. But I would say 90% of the footage uses the iphones. They shoot 4K and have amazing image stabilization... pus they keep me nimble. The Sony really is cumbersome most of the time. For me understanding how the iphone cameras react to light conditions is the most important thing. Thanks again.

Thank you Jon. I hike a lot too.... and am a 46er. I paddle more than hike these days but still like to mix it up to keep things fresh. This video has so many locations it would be too many to list. But for the most part the upper half of the Adirondack park. I will be uploading a brand new video next Sunday that show my favorite views from my canoe in 22. And I put captions identifying what body of water they are.... you'll find that useful. Have a great year of paddling... it will be here soon.
