I would never wear a membrane jacket next to a fire like that, small holes in seconds, destroyed jacket. G1000 jacket is a must for occasions like that ❤❤❤

I'll keep that in mind. This jacket has since been destroyed logging my property. It was a good jaclet.

Thank you Robert. New York is such a beautiful diverse state. Something for everyone. I gravitate towards the mountains obviously... but like to see a Broadway show from time to time. I am always amazed when I meet someone from NY and they've never been to the Adirondacks. If they only knew.

Foil?
@CanoeCampClimb15 күн бұрын
Since I was cooking diced potatoes the foil was helpful. I wanted the juices from the steak to permeate the potatoes.. and the garlic butter on the potatoes to permeate the steak. It turned out pretty good.

I used to use Fiskars aces but found their strike too light. Switched to Estwings and love them. Possibly more durable as well. Luci lights are great too.
@CanoeCampClimb29 күн бұрын
I originally had the fiskars saw because I like their axes... and I also have their pole saw. But ended up loving the silky for canoe camping. I never tried the Estwing. I have a couple Luci lights... and bring one from time to time. Very lightweight and packable.Thanks for checking out the vid.

I hope this question isn't too personal but...whats your total load weight? Im curious about the weight capacity on a Rapidfire. Thanks!
@CanoeCampClimbАй бұрын
Hi Patrick. For this trip my pack was heavier than usual because I packed more fresh food than I typically do (and camera equipment/batteries). So my pack was about 60 lbs. And I weighed 235 during this trip. So close to about 300lbs for this trip. But I have certainly loaded it up with a lot more than that for late Fall and early Winter trips which sometimes include hauling firewood in the boat. If you give Joe a call at Placid Boatworks he can give you the load information.
