I have crippling insomnia and sometimes ur stories are the only thing that helps. You have created a beautiful community full of gentleness. I hope u realize how important you are to so many people. Nice smooth narrative. Your description of the swirled bread made me yearn for a chocolate bobka from Brooklyn. You haven’t lived until you’ve had one. The aromatic smell of the candle with that one special olfactory nuance you did this with Celine’s perfume too. It’s provocatively delicious. I was expecting to cry like I did with your first twisted forest. Glad I didn’t I cried enough when the garage repair guy had to be paid almost a grand to replace some springs on the door. Now I’m settling down to watch Emmys just to see if lessons in chemistry wins something it was terrific. Didn’t like shogun or the bear. Liked him in shameless. Oh well. Iced cream raspberry sorbet and a tall glass of cab sav good night hear ya later

Yikes, that's expensive. I guess that makes me relieved to not be a homeowner just yet. I'm glad you enjoyed and it's take every ounce of willpower (and lack of a spare moment) to not try and create the bread I described. Maybe I will during the holidays.

Owning a home is very rewarding both as an investment and as a place that you own and can make it into anything you want. It helps to have mechanically inclined friends relatives or a partner. I’m mildly handy. No longer have those other supportive helpers and I try and pick my battles with what I will try and fix. Pulleys and springs with the potential of the heavy door falling onto a car or a person is too risky. The luxury of using an electronic door opener becomes mandatory otherwise you have to lift the door yourself in the rain or snow or nighttime etc. these wonderful mechanisms used to last many years my side of the garage had springs replaced decades ago and the motor is originally from 84. The price for these things has escalated beyond comprehension . Since my partner doesn’t want to feel trapped she was willing to try and wiggle her car from her side to mine with less then a foot of clearance front or back and I knew it would result in lots of damage to the house or the car and ultimately me. She doesn’t like using my car but she was Desperate to escape so she did use it. If I could have opened the door manually it would have been better but it kept getting stuck because the lack of spring on one side allowed door to wiggle. So the least of all evils was to get overpriced labor to fix the issue. I just bought her a new apple Lap top for about 2 grand so well happy wife happy life? I will forgo replacing my bbq grill for awhile or until I burn off my eyebrows lighting it. All of this is from the heart , home and family become an integral organism that ultimately will criticize me laugh at me and continue to fall apart all part of the universes plan to use me as the punch line of some cosmic joke or a snl skit. Love and homeownership is not for the faint of heart.
