How wonderful Michelle! To think the lovely couple who keep us company at times in our dreams are inspired by your grandparents! It makes me feel so warm and puts a smile on my face. Funny, my grandparents had a summer lakeside home in the UP. Ike and Martha reminded me so much of my grandparents i shared the series with my family.

@@chosengirl2000 Oh yes. I know it by Upper Peninsula. My family's summer house in in Delaware, but the peninsula's name is Del-Mar-Va. No one but locals know it by that name tho. Most people don't even know Delaware is a beach state. Lol

@@melisasmith303 My grandparents were born and raised in Ironwood, Michigan. And in their early teens eloped to Duluth, Minnesota. They moved to California and bought a home on Lake Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin fairly close to Lake Superior. My grandpa held Wisconsin residency, and my grandma held California residency. Winters up there are crazy so they would spend the spring and summer in Wisconsin and fall and winter in California. They had 5 kids, 9 grandkids, and 13 great grandkids. It was an amazing summer family vacation spot for all of us. Eventually, they had to sell because my grandma's diabetes was getting worse. They stopped coming to California. After she passed, my grandpa moved to California until he passed.

Hey Michelle! Ive been an avid watcher of your storys for a while now and Ive boticed these past few ones have had no music or quiet music. I totally get aome people prefer no music but for me I need it so I was wondering if this was a permenant switch or just a little switch up

Michelle, I love love this story. Just the way that you begin it. It’s just so soothing and peaceful that honestly I’ve started it four times and have yet to be able to stay awake for the whole story but one of these days. But I love it. It’s just you thank you.

Beautiful memories with your grandfather! I have become a grandfather who waves at everyone, too, as I drive up and down my canyon road. Like your grandfather, I don’t know everyone, but I feel like giving a neighborly wave. I lay off it when I get to big town traffic, where people might take it wrong, and turn me in or shoot me. Thanks for your beautiful stories. I dream away every single time!

Congratulations to you-- I love that. About twenty years ago I made a friend in my neighborhood who knew everyone at every shop she frequented. It was the first I realized that a city neighborhood (or block) can one day take on the same small town interactions I experienced upstate. It's just a far more eclectic and perhaps raw exchange of greetings than I once knew!

As a child in a small town, I’d ride in my grandfather’s red truck as he waved at every passerby and smiled. I just assumed he was friends with everyone. Most people he knew, but even those he didn’t were met with a warm greeting. At night, he ran a garage by the river, tinkering with cars and socializing with kindred souls who popped by. The garage was a sanctuary for stray cats and I’d often come feed them, in between moments spent skipping stones across the river and hopping over puddles formed in the many potholes on Reed St. His spirit, and a longing for the kindness and community I felt in my formative years, led me to create “The Lake Chalet” series. My dad was the same way always waving at people ,talking to people sometimes a hour, and I'm like, come on, dad, we got to go ,lol sweet, sweet memories🥰💙 I miss my dad so much😢 Thank you Michelle for always reminding me of the good Ole days🥰 RIP DAD

The divey pub is now a nice pizza place. Funny how things may change, but I believe the memories always linger.

Greetings Michelle I see this is blank screen mostly oddd that cold and wet weather flare up the unjury I use these to manage ( we are getting a bit both here in Hervey Bay Queensland Australia ) but water and snow sounds are very helpful .

With these “premieres”, I’m still of the mindset that I get excited to think that there is something new released, just to find out that it isn’t actually ready yet. Sorry Michelle, I feel like I’m the party pooper here. It’s like I got excited to hear it now, I can’t wait another 16 hours before I go to bed. Sorry I’m giving you such a hard time.

I've been doing premieres for many years now-- one of the main reasons is if I don't, I will get dozens of emails and comments with concern that there won't be a Sunday release that week since I've always released on Sunday and they want to know what's coming. So yeah, for this channel, it will always be a release the same day of week to combat the Sunday Scaries.

Michelle, you are a healer with your stories and your work is so valuable you me! I get a similar attitude about my work cleaning people's homes, which I've seen time and again can be transformative for people's whole lives. Several times I've helped clear space for people to see what they wanted to do about a struggling marriage, a difficult job, and make positive changes. The quiet work of care giving is overlooked, but very real.
