@Crowoak3 күн бұрын
@ non sensei meens teacher. You say sensei please show Me that. You normally use the japanese word Sensei even if you talk in english to the ( teacher) if he / she talk english .

The samurai were geniuses. For the people than don't understand what is going on, see the shoulders of Uke in some of the techniques. This is what happens when you don't have tv and all you do is find ways to have an advantage in battle. Okamoto sensei was able to master aiki to a very high degree. Although to many people this would look fake, it's the "kuzushi" or balance braking element that I KNOW works, as I use it myself... Once you understand the principle of body mechanics and the related postures, and to ALSO develop the muscular structure to execute the techniques, its really a matter of using ones "strength" to its most effective and economic use... It took me about 5 years to begin to understand it and to be able to utilize it in one's techniques, which takes about ten years, but with the right instruction and less "mystery" and hocus pocus (it has a habit of attracting in certain people), it can be achieved in far less... I can get people to do it within seconds but it's forgotten very quickly... Like everything physical it has to be practised hundreds of times and FELT... Once its in the body memory it can be called upon at will...

I dont doubt that this is a real technique. Even I didnt had the opportunity to feel it myself. My concern is that its maybe not working if someone attaks you realy hard and agressiv. I once chatted with an daito ryu practioner and he told me that it dont work on everyone. The same thing once told me a Taiji master about the special techniques of Taiji which can look also mysterious.

@@Gieszkanne Well only one way to find out....go and study it yourself !!...what you have to realise is that it has to be practised from all sorts of attack, hard or otherwise.. @@Gieszkanne It's more the opposite. It's hard to get them to work if you don't have any force inputted. That's the whole principle. If you do it correctly, the more force you get, the more it goes back on attacker.

To learn the real thing, we need a really good teacher! Yes, you can get students to do this within seconds. After that, the student has to practice this thousands of times until it becomes automatic! It's basically about balance, body dynamics, feeling your opponents Ki. We cannot learn this by just watching masters on KZbin doing this! You say that you took about 5 years to understand this. That's probably because you didn't have a good teacher! Koichi Tohei sensei (10th Dan Aikido) was always talking about leading the opponent's Ki! His English is poor and I had great difficulty understanding him. His Aikido is known as Ki-Aikido or Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido i.e. Aikido with mind and body coordination. He and O'sensei (Uyeshiba sensei) made it sound very mystical, mysterious and spiritual!
Imo, "aiki" demonstrations such as some of the techniques performed in this video do not lend themselves to illustrating the actual effectiveness of Daito ryu when all of the uke are compliant and throw themselves at the slightest prompt. This just makes the art look phony when it is anything but.

@@susanohara4274 I know. I train in Daito ryu and Yamate ryu aikijujutsu. The techniques from seiza are just to demonstrate the ability to unbalance/neutralize an attacker from seated , kneeling positions. There are MANY very effective, combat oriented techniques that work well which would be much better to show in many of the traditional Daito ryu videos. People don't understand aiki, so magical-seeming aiki demonstrations are not the best choices to represent the art from an outsiders perspective. The nage waza and kansetsu waza are much better choices. Despite what I have said about aikijujutsu and some of the less currently practical techniques, it is super street effective if trained properly and my favorite art to study ( thouh often quite painful). Check out some of the Fudoshin ryu aikijujutsu videos and Miguel Ibarra's "Aikijujutsu Street Defense" videos. He was a cop who used his skills on the street against fugitives and gang members. Fudoshin ryu and Miguel Ibarra's aikijujutsu are both very street applicable.

@@SOPACHNAYA Thanks very much Andy. Classical Aikijutsu is probably more combat effective than Yoshinkan Aikido when it comes to street defence. The worst are the so-called Ki Aikido!

@@renchi6989 I very much appreciate Aikido and Aikijitsu. I have trained in Aikido for about 15 years now. That is why I was sad to see this. It is this sort of stuff that perpetuates the belief that this art is "fake". And to be honest seeing this sort of stuff I don't wonder why people have that attitude about it. I just guess I train in a more real version. I put Aikido into two categories : real and workable as one and the second I call fluffy bunny, I have to say seeing this I should come up with a third category, I just can't think of anything below "fluffy bunny" right at the moment. The aiki is in everybody's body. A muscle decrease the quality of the aiki. The aiki revives by an exercise to throw away muscle. Over power is not necessary.
