So Blake's Tyranids' basically found the problem with fighting Necrons, didn't they? Even as the swarm think that they can put them down, always more and more awaken from the tomb world, more numerous, more resilient, until even the Tyranid swarm finds itself outswarmed.
@Forvesss2 жыл бұрын
Very canonically appropriate! Necrons have no biomass to feast upon, so fighting them is ALWAYS a net loss for the tyranids.
@LovedandTheLover2 жыл бұрын
Fair, personal I would still bet on Tyranids' in the long term but its honestly would be very close fight.
@Forvesss2 жыл бұрын
@@LovedandTheLover I'm not so sure. The tyranids would probably just begin avoiding the Necrons, reap what biomass they can from the galaxy, then leave. The necrons arent valuable to them - so I doubt the Tyranids would continue to just beat their head against a wall for no benefit.
@acetraker1988 Жыл бұрын

For those curious, to further expand on what Blake was telling: - Imperium of Man: One of the youngest races in the universe of the 41st Millennium, praying to the God-Emperor of Mankind to protect them from their enemies. They need to do some messed up stuff to survive, like feeding the Emperor thousands of psykers' souls daily (space wizards basically, almost every race has them) so he doesn't die, and purging millions of their own at the slightest suspicion of corruption / heresy. Represented factions in the deck are: *Astra Militarum* (Imperial Guard, main bulk of their forces fighting their battles USSR style, as in under-equipped, under-trained, but boy are there a lot of them), *Adeptus Astartes* (Space Marines, genetically modified humans who are bred for war who can survive literally being dismembered and keep on fighting, but most humans die during the selection and transformation process), *Adeptus Sororitas* (part of the Ecclesiarchy, the religious arm of the Imperium, basically crazy space nuns who like torching things), *Grey Knights* (like Space Marines, but even tougher and fewer, and all are Psykers / Space Wizards - their main purpose is to hunt demons), *Inquisition* (just like their historical namesake they're rooting out heresy in the name of the Emperor, but a lot of them turn into power-hungry maniacs in the process), *Adeptus Mechanicus* (the Imperium's scientists, engineers, and mechanics, praying to their own version of the Emperor called the Omnissiah, and very, VERY protective of their secrets of how to keep stuff running) - *TLDR* Theocratic Fascist Empire sacrificing billions daily to ensure the survival of Mankind as a whole - Also, the Emperor is basically in a constant state of dying due to wounds incurred ten thousand years ago, and many believe that when he finishes dying, Mankind will go with him. - Forces of Chaos: Humans and Space Marines who have been seduced by the Chaos Gods (Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Slaanesh) and now fight for their personal glory against the Imperium. They live in the Warp, a pseudo-parallel dimension which is shaped by will and emotion. Psykers tap into this Warp to use their space wizardry, and sometimes accidentally (or intentionally) summon demons into the real world. Most of the Space Marines (who already have an incredibly long lifespan due to their modifications) converted during the Horus Heresy, which came at the end of the Great Crusade during which the Emperor personally and with the help of his Primarchs (leaders of the Space Marine Legions and genetically his sons) conquered most of the known universe for mankind. The Horus Heresy itself was named because Horus, the Emperor's most trusted Primarch and son, as well as half the other primarchs and legions were seduced by Chaos and promised untold power if they murdered the Emperor and his Loyalist sons. It started a great war during which a vast number of entire planets were devastated, and ended only when Horus was defeated by the Emperor himself, but the Emperor incurred a mortal wound during this fight. Abaddon, Horus' right-hand man and his son in turn, ordered a retreat of the Sons of Horus, and the other Traitor Legions broke rank as well. Abaddon has waged war against the Imperium since then, kept alive by the Chaos Gods to do their bidding. The 4 Chaos Gods are: *Khorne* (God of Hate, Rage, Violence, Bloodshed), *Nurgle* (Mortality, Morbidity, Despair), *Slaanesh* (Lust, Excess, Pleasure, Pain), and *Tzeentch* (Ambition, Plotting, Change, Psychic Powers). *TLDR* Most of the Forces of Chaos used to be part of the Imperium, but they got seduced by demons and are now greedy, selfish bastards trying to tear the Imperium down. - Tyranids: Probably the race the least is actually known about, they arrived out of uncharted portions of the universe with one intent: to devour all. They are divided into multiple swarms, each led by a hive mind which is the collective psyche of the swarm. Their bioships will drift silently through space, until they detect biomass, at which point they will change course and converge upon an unsuspecting planet, bombarding them with spores which will release organisms such as termagaunts, gargoyles, genestealers, absorber swarms (not depicted in game), and Swarmlords. These organisms will attack everything which is not part of the swarm, try to kill it, and drag any dead bodies including their own to reclamation pools, which dissolves any and all biomass into nutrients which are then sucked up by the bioships. Spawning pools will then use some of that biomass to disgorge new tyranids to continue fighting. The fight only ends when the hive fleet has been beaten back, or the planet has been devoured. Sometimes during such fights, genestealers will infiltrate behind enemy lines and infect survivors with their own genetic material. Unless rooted out by their commanders, these survivors will then pass down the gene through the generations, creating mutants which form Genestealer Cults, using their latent psychic powers to attract Tyranid swarms from afar. - Necrons: The oldest of the playable factions in Warhammer 40k, a race so ancient it had hibernated for most of the Imperium's existence. They were once mortal, but made a grave error in judgement which turned them into soulless machines. When they were relatively young, they were born to a star system in which the sun would pelt them with radiation, leading to a short life. All their technological advances - of which there were many - meant nothing in the face of an uncaring world. They then encountered another race, the Old Ones, which had fared much better, and grew bitter and jealous over this. Seeing an opportunity to quell internal strife, the rulers of the Necrontyr, the Triarch, started a war with the Old Ones, now known as The War In Heaven. After initial success, the Necrontyr realized that they had bitten off more than they could chew - the mastery the Old Ones had over the Warp was too much for the Necrontyr to handle, who had never encountered such powers before. In their desperation, they looked for other weapons they could use, and found beings radiating pure energy and feeding off stars. The Necrontyr approached these C'Tan and offered them a physical form in exchange for their services in the war. The C'Tan now known as the Deceiver had an audience with Szarekh, part of the Triarch, and offered the Necrontyr immortality. Szarekh accepted, and helped the C'Tan transform his people into Necrons. This however stripped almost all Necrons of their souls and individuality (the souls feeding the C'Tan), which Szarekh realized too late. Still, armed with their new bodies and new technologies developed as a result of this change, the Necrons won the War in Heaven. Later, Szarekh led a rebellion against the C'Tan, and managed to destroy or imprison most of them, freeing the Necrons from their rule. *TLDR* Space Zombie Robots who imprisoned their own gods in order to be free to pursue their own goals, split into different "Dynasties" Hope this helps?

I like how all 4 decks would technically decline any deals made with them, the Hive Mind would not understand ulterior motives, the Space Marines would recall all being Heretics, the Chaos Fanatics would prefer chaos over an orderly deal and the Necrons would not submit to threats as they just come back from the grave. Flavor wise this seems to be usually not the case in classic magic. Any Blue deck would seize the opportunity to be cunning, any white deck would see a common threat as more important then self justice, green would see a disbalance in order, red would agree to aggro the one most harmful as a resentment and black would gladly take a shift of responsibility to another player
