The film begins with views of the Hermann fortress and wartime fortifications in Narva. Commander-in-Chief Johan Laidoner and Minister of Defense Paul Lill are arriving by train for the ceremony of the 20th anniversary of the 1st Infantry Regiment, they are being received by the lined up regiment at the station. There is a greeting, then we see the defense forces marching into Peter's Church, further shots of the parade of the Narva garrison and units of the Defense League, the audience watching it, old defense buildings. A large plan of the War of Independence memorial plaque. The film ends with a regimental torchlight procession in the dark.
