Hi, Donna. I have been to several quilting websites, and I think your site is the nicest one. I love your tutorials, and I appreciate that you go into much detail. You show so many nice fabrics being used in finished products. Your free patterns are a bonus, and I want to get at least half of your quilt kits, especially the Christmas kits because it is already December 16, 2020. Things have become drastically different in our country over the last 10 months, and I've been feeling very stressed and anxious. I am homebound after a personal year of two emergency surgeries and my resultant disability. Going to your website and immersing myself in your tutorials has been a major distraction and a relief from the turmoil occurring. So I spend many pleasant hours seeing beauty emerge from pieces of fabric. So, I thank you sincerely for the time and energy you, your husband, and family spend making your videos and bringing brightness to so many people. I do have a question: Do you sell any of the quilts that you create? 🥰

Hi Donna, I love this quilt. Man, I love all the different designs but I like the one you choose best. I have a thing with curves and circles. I haven’t made a log cabin yet. I have some jelly rolls, so I can’t wait to try this out, when I finish, I’ll send you a photo. By the way, your emails are my favorite to receive 👍👏💖 I love seeing all the quilts everyone makes! Thank you for sharing your talents, Chris-Raleigh NC

Dear Donna...you are they guru of quilt making! I always enjoy your precision I do my own quilting free motion. Here is a great idea for a segment from you. How to prepare your quilt top for your long armed. Pressing all seams nice and flat. Making all threads are trimmed and not showing through to the top, adding enough extra to a border, even if you need to sew a piece of muslin for temporary addition.. I know there are other things I would not know about preparation since I do mine on a different type of machine. Even how to layer a quilt would be great knowledge for beginners not using a longarmer to complete the quilt. Thank you. I know you are watched over and over. There are probably LOTS of quilts being put together during this quarantine, so a basic video might be great timing. Thank you. Carol

I prefer the layout you chose, very pretty. I would have chosen the blue thread for the quilting. The blue strips serve as an accent color among all the coral and pink strips, and the blue thread would have been pretty on the white areas of the pattern. After the quilting and binding are done, could you hang your quilts so that we can see them head-on instead of flat from above? The quilting pattern always shows up a lot better seen from that vantage point. You and Matt have done that occasionally on some videos, and it has shown the quilts to their best advantage. Thanks!

Thank you for this lovely Log Cabin pattern. I want to also thank you for your quilt tips that are in many of your videos. They really help make my blocks straighter. Ironing with the grain of the fabric. Lining up strips with a long ruler before ironing. Straightening up fabric before cutting, ironing seams to the way they want to go, finger pressing, ironing and then steam pressing, cutting multiple strips or multiple layers of fabric, using a weight to hold down the ruler. All these tips help so much.

Serpentine because if it was in my house some one would spill on the white and ruin all that work. Our quilts are used well and often. Less chance of one big blotch on one of the white patches if they are not so big together. Each is wonderfully pretty of course. You never fail to amaze me.
