A believer in Chambersburg, PA. So thankful for the Biblical teaching that is so rare. There can be no doubt that in our lifetime there has been a straying from the simple Gospel message. Even as a child in my Bible Church the youth were entertained and now it's almost full blown apostasy. I left the church of my parents at age 15 because even with all the entertainment I found it exceedingly boring. I'm so glad that even in the midst of my sinfulness I had the seed of the Gospel planted in my mind at an early age. I searched for biblical truth around age 18 and found myself with a group of young people who had such a mixture of beliefs... Moving on to some leftovers of the Jesus movement where the teachers taught that to study the Scriptures puffed up one's pride... All the while they deceived the people through their philosophy and emotional therapy. My wife and I experienced many many churches and eventually went to the Anabaptists who believed in the "whole Bible." I thought I found something stable and yet once again realized this was NOT what the Gospel intended. The Anabaptists were indeed just another cult... I went into these groups with such zeal for the lost and eventually lost all hope for worldly people to be saved. It got so bad that my wife and I felt it was even unlikely that we could be saved either. We've stepped back from all church groups and I have felt that without the denominational influence we would read the Bible for ourselves. This has taken years of "deprograming" and our minds are now once again able to see a great hope in the Scriptures. Like the admonition in the book of Galations... We will NOT return to the bondage of the apostate churches, which in our area appear to be ALL of them. So thankful for the concept and practice of Rightly Dividing the Word of God. Now if we could only find commonsense believers to have some fellowship with.

Brother Breaker, thank you for your verse by verse Bible studies. Jesus sure has blessed us with your Christ centered teachings. I see so many people believing this false doctrine that salvation can be lost, which takes the sovereign work of salvation away from God, and away from being through trusting in the shed bl00d of Christ alone, and puts salvation in man’s hands, as man being sovereign above God, and salvation being by the works of man, and not the finished work and atoning bl00d of Christ alone. I was a lost believer for many years, believing that my works had to be added to the bl00d of Christ, and believing I could change myself to be obedient to Christ, and it led to living as a defeated believer, rather than trusting in the sovereign work of Christ alone in salvation that leads to living as a victorious believer who has overcome sin because they’re spiritually reborn. We have victory through Christ, and even though the old man, the flesh, still exists, the new man, the spirit/soul has been cleansed eternally of all sin, has been clothed in the righteousness of Christ, given eternal life that can never be lost, and we’ve been redeemed and reconciled to our Heavenly Father through the shed bl00d of Christ, and trusting in the finished works of Christ rather than our own works. Praise Jesus, He never gave up on me, and 20+ years ago, when I crumpled in defeat and despair from trying to save myself, and I asked Jesus to please help me, and I submitted myself to Christ and His will, I was born again, and life has never been the same. It’s amazing how all those sins you tried so hard to make yourself stop doing, when you’re born again, the Holy Spirit just takes away the desire from you to do those things. I was like a struggling drowning victim when I was trying to save myself, and I was resisting the Holy Spirit rather than receiving Him into my soul, and trusting in Christ to change me from within. Boy o boy is there a HUGE DIFFERENCE in just believing in Christ, and being born again of the Holy Spirit of Christ! It’s like I was in pitch black darkness as just a believer, but when the Holy Spirit was yoked with my spirit, and I was spiritually reborn into the family of YHVH, the lights were suddenly turned on, and I began to understand the spiritual things of God, and the scriptures. I was totally blown away when I learned that as I grow spiritually in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit opens up deeper meanings of scriptures you’ve read before when you read them again. The Bible is the only book I know of that “grows with you” as you grow in your relationship with Jesus. And the more you learn about Jesus, and His written Word becomes your foundation, the more you thirst for more knowledge of Christ through His written Word. I’m so grateful to Jesus for saving me, and sealing me with His Holy Spirit. The scriptures say we can KNOW with assurance that we are saved, which wouldn’t be true if salvation was based on our works, which is the only way you can lose salvation, is if you’re saved by what you do, and that’s a false gospel. Jesus Christ has done the works by which we’re saved, and we trust in what Jesus did as the propitiation for our sins, and not in what we do. I praise Jesus for every believer who used to be like me, and who have been spiritually reborn, and given the truth of the scriptures through your Holy Spirit filled Bible studies, who can now say with assurance that they KNOW they’re saved for eternity, and shall NEVER perish, because they finally understand the true gospel of Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Now we both can proclaim the victory we have over sin through the precious shed bl00d of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ! Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, the visible form of our invisible Heavenly Father, Jehovah! Praise His Holy Name! God bless you brother Breaker, and all our brothers and sisters in Christ. Once you accept Jesus as your savior all of your sins are instantly forgiven, past, present and future.. you don't need to keep asking for forgiveness, you're forgiven. Acknowledging when you make a mistake is different, just learn from them and continue to grow. But don't think it's some magic incantation that makes feeling guilty go away. When you sin and feel guilty that's the holy spirit being grieved, you're still forgiven for doing it, simply acknowledge the mistake and work harder on not backsliding.

@@twsartadventures3660 I appreciate the words of wisdom but sometimes I'll remember things I did perhaps decades ago and had all but forgotten about and haven't done anything similar in years but then all of a sudden it's a vivid memory like it just happened yesterday, almost as if the Holy Spirit wants me to acknowledge what I did, why it was wrong, or possibly repent of it, before I'm able to let it slip back into the dust bin of forgotten memories, does it effect my salvation? Just 49.37 minutes in.... I would offer up that as a roman catholic,ireland, through baptism at birth, I never understood my religion, parts of it, but I was in a state of confusion and so I was not a true practicing catholic and exercised my will until I understood that my will was not yielding good fruit. My will brought my sins to the surface and it became very clear as much so the cause of my suffering. So I self examined my sins and I confessed my sins to God, not a priest and asked to be guided. Then began my faith and then began my works, not to keep my faith in salvation as Jesus paid the price, it's covered, but works because my will now wants to be obedient to what God intended for my life as a woman. Women today are almost expected to be men since the industrial revolution, equality etc and it has warped many woman's belief about their true nature. I have more clarity now and am back in my rightful place as a woman.

I think book of first john may have been latest book written. A commentary on John's gospel a n d written after revelation. And may have incorporated Paul's thinking which was attested to in acts 15.

Did you misspeak or am I lacking understanding on the replacement of Judas? I don’t believe Paul was his replacement. It was St. Matthias.

The apostles selected Matthias to replace Judas, but Jesus chose Paul to be the apostle that replaced Judas instead.

What disturbs me is how people still don’t understand how SINFUL they really are! This man said he sin “occasionally” ! That’s a lie from the pits of hell. We are sinners because of this ! “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. I'm pretty much still on milk when it comes to being a Christian, but if even bad/evil thoughts are sinning i simply can't understand how anyone could possibly believe that they even have a chance at "working" their own way into heaven... thank God for God, because if it was up to ourselves, instead of the blood of Jesus, heaven wouldnt have anything but the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, and crickets... thank you Jesus, now please pluck us off this planet...

He alone paid the debt for our sins. Some mistakenly think they can compensate for their sins with good behavior. In Ephesians 2:8-9, the Apostle Paul tells us that such is not the case, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one my boast.” Eternal life comes by grace through faith; saving faith rests solely on Jesus and His sacrifice for our sins. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BORN AGAIN?... The phrase “born again” applies to people who have accepted Jesus as their Savior or Redeemer. The born again soul realizes that they are a sinner (Romans 3:23) and that the penalty for that sin is death (Romans 6:23). To rectify the circumstances, God sent His only Son to die in their place, to take the punishment for sin (Romans 5:8). After Jesus’ death, He arose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-6). Jesus is the only way to God (John 14:6) and He provides the blessing of salvation. Each person has the choice to receive or reject God’s gift through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) and experience new birth (John 3:1-8). BRIDGING THE GAP WE AS BELIEVERS ARE THE GAP BETWEEN A LIVING GOD AND A DYING WORLD So how do we bridge this gap? By being an example in our habits, actions,words,humility, modesty and deeds is what will differentiate us from the world. The scriptures states in John 15:19 IF YOU BELONGED TO THE WORLD,IT WOULD LOVE TOU AS ITS OWN. AS IT IS ,YOU DO NOT BELONG TO THE WORLD ,BUT I HAVE CHOSEN YOU OUT OF THE WORLD. THAT IS WHY THE WORLD HATES YOU. If you love this world and are still a part of it and follow it, deriving your life and pleasures from it the world will love you. If you follow its vulgar passions the world would be loving towards you but we are not of the world, so our love of reverence should be towards our God . God chose us , and withdrew us for his service, out of the world ,therefore the world hates us! God has caused you to break away from the world, and we are no longer "its own." Just as we are one with God, we draw upon ourselves the worlds hatred of God. Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. By being set apart we are being changed into the image of Christ, causing our interest in the things of the world to become lesser as we mature in Christ. We are to conform ourselves, and our minds, to that of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2). We must also understand that being in the world, but not of it, is necessary if we are to be a light to those who are in spiritual darkness. Isn't deity of Christ and Trinity both doctrines of men that make Jesus into a Casper ghost I never knew not a man who rose from the dead like the end of the passion movie?? Isn't there a verse somewhere where they said that they would deny he rose as a man to this day? Is there a man according to you and your great real Bible beliefs that is sitting at the right hand of the Throne of God and coming to reign as king for a thousand years? In which church are you right now in Revelation 1 and 2 or do we need to have a geography lesson to understand that Jesus hates most of church now as he comes soon as king?

Righteousness is a gift that is received when we believe the gospel. No man makes himself righteous. AND no man makes himself unrighteous. Unrighteousness is received by being in Adam. Righteousness is received by being in Jesus. Thus, 1 John 1:9 is not about those in Christ, but about those in Adam who "confess" (agree with God) that they have sin which needs forgiven and to be cleansed of all unrighteousness. Forgiveness of sins is in Christ, and is received when we turn to God, having believed that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and raised for our justification. The ONLY people who are lying if they say they have no sin, are those who have not been forgiven or cleansed from all unrighteousness. Obviously, anyone who has been cleansed of all sin (vs 7) by the blood of Jesus, is not lying when they say they have no sin, they would be lying if they said they still have sin, after having been cleansed. What an insult it would be, to the blood of Jesus, to have been cleansed by His blood and still claim you have sin. In Christ, there is none unrighteous. Paul tells us that those who have been reconciled to God are the righteousness of God. Who are we to undue what Christ has done?

When there is something NEW to replace the OLD, the OLD is DONE AWAY WITH. Scripture evidence? 👇🏼 Galatians 3: 24. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3:25. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. Galatians 3:26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. The word of God is Extremely clear, without a shadow of doubt. Keeping the law to be counted righteous was what the Jews under the old covenant had to do. Now AFTER the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, It’s NO LONGER needed for us who come under salvation by grace through faith. Ephesians 2: 8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast. God’s word of truth is so simple and clear. I wonder how MORE clearer do people need for them to understand. 🤷🏻‍♀️
