I’m so grateful to come upon these teachings. I’m from upstate NY and have decided to go through the whole Bible and follow each teaching after every chapter (s) I read. I’m so blessed and empowered.

This gives me a little anxiety because my heart is always trying to wonder, should we just pray to God to keep us from falling like Solomon?

Pastor Paul, what do you make of the significance of the number of talents (666) Solomon received in one year as per 1 Kings 10:14: "Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold". Is there any link to Revelation 13:16-18 "The Mark of the Beast"? Jesus often references King Solomon when talking about the perils of wealth (Matthew 6:28-29, Matthew 12:42), and the "coincidence" of this number startles me.

Unfortunately these ominous signs are all around us today( end of May, 2022) we have taken God out of everything and the days of Noah are present-sodomy, chaos ( shooting in Texas yesterday with the school kids-19 young children, my heart is so heavy, our country is dying, May God have mercy on us-but how can He when we see no repentance? Thankyou for this teaching.💔😥

Hallo, I have a question. In 1 Kings 3:10 God says that he will give Solomon wealth and honor. So I was wondering if this is a case of Gods provision?

I have to disagree here. I've grown much more outside of the four walls than the years I was in them. I also had more idols while I was "going to church", than when I sat with the word, studied and built my relationship with the Lord. I know what it says about forsaking the assembly. But that's not a salvation issue. Walking with God is though. That's whats most important. Sometimes I feel like pastors of churches are just trying to get you in the door. I could be wrong. The church is the body. Not the location
@gingerlanger95517 жыл бұрын
My husband says he doesn’t need 4 walls to know God! What do you say to that?
@PastorPaulLeBoutillier7 жыл бұрын
Your husband is absolutely correct. But he's also mistaken about two other critical issues: 1) The church is NOT made up of four walls. It is a living, breathing entity made up of all who are trusting Christ and what He did on the cross. When we come to know Christ as Savior we are born into that family of believers. To withdraw from Christian fellowship is to deny the reality AND responsibility of who we now are -- the Body of Christ. And a body operates best when all its members are functioning as they were intended. 2) Hebrews 10:25 tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together. To use the "four walls" excuse as a reason to stay away from fellowship and accountability is to reject what the Scripture says about our call to stay connected. The fact is, we need one another. That's the point Paul was making in 1 Cor 12:12 and following.

Why the weight of Gold per year was 666? Any other meaning behind this number or just coincidence? Oh God grant me wisdom like King Solomon 🙏
@tshuvahavodah2374 жыл бұрын
The love of money is a sin. However, the population of Israel at this time was close to a million-plus people not counting the slaves. Perhaps Solomon used the gold for housing, roads, sewers systems, wells, farming land, army, navy, police, international trade, etc. All this had to be managed with funds. We should give some credit to his ability to manage a nation in the Middle East bread basket location in a short historical timeframe. God used this for His purposes in expanding the Israeli population and reputation in the world.
