@@mg.f.9023 Totally agree. But trying to observe n learn when and how try to switch and broaden the portfolio in different sectors. Suddenly I'm having to look after father's portfolio. My initial years n learning about the markets n equities. Many tell me to go for Sips as the safest root. Haven't done it yet as stocks are doing well.

As u mentioned, many of these winners didn't have any momentum for large periods during these 20 years. Doesn't it contradict what u r saying! Identify good business, buy and hold for 20 years Vs jump from one to another based on recent momentum alone?

Looking at trent I keep kicking myself on why I sold it in 2016 and never got into it again.. well bygones are bygones and I'm happy in picking multi buggers with a strategy now.. I pick from Peter Lynch model and filter with momentum to switch/entry/exit...

Sir, I agree success stories may not repeat. But Isn't it better to earn little lesser than making wrong decisions? I'm here to protect my investment not trade. when foundations are strong how can one decide when to switch? Talking about stocks like Cummins, Relience, L&T, Ultratech, CG Power, Tata motors n Steel, Schneider, EID Parry, GE T&D, Linde India. What if my lack of knowledge or wrong choices hurt my investment?
