Enjoyed this game a lot. It was a bit on the crude side, specially compared to Gran Turismo 3. But having the weather, and changing time of day as well as the whole vibe, was just amazing. Even did a proper 24 hour race, split in 2 12 hour stints back then. Loved it.

The Dreamcast port also is as amazing as PS2 port.

Its 'crudeness' is actually due to the fact that Test Drive: LM is a poorly done port to the PS2. Test Drive: LM is actually a Dreamcast game with higher quality lighting and less graphical tone downs then its PS2 counterpart. Why? Because of misunderstandings of the PS2's complex hardware and issues with console port. In short, Dreamcast version made -> kinda poor Windows port (unfortunate because the Dreamcast is meant to port to windows) -> even worse, slight glitched PS2 port built off the poor windows one (windows doesn't even port easily to PS2). I say all this because, more importantly to me, Test Drive: LM was genuinely one of the front runners for best looking game period, during it's time (2000). It's only the PS2 version that looks this 'bad'. It was stuck in the shadow of Gt3, due to its quarter 2 2000s reveal, and never really earned its spot in video game graphics history, unlike the great Gt3. The actual, near undebatable best looking game of its 2001 run. But, to conclude, Test Drive: LM really was one of the first games to have that 'HQ 6th generation graphics' look. And I love it for that.

Ohhhh boy!!! First I played the PS1 version and beat it like 5 times!!! Then when I was 15 I got the Sega DreamCast versión and man!!! I completed all the game like 10 times!!! I still have my Sega DreamCast and this game too!!! 😍❤️ Thanks 🙏🏻 a lot for uploading it!!!

Le Mans 24 Hours on the PlayStation 2 is an "Awesome Racing Game". I like the intro, the graphics looks so good, the cars are amazing, the tracks are very well made, the atmosphere is amazing, the music is awesome, having the weather conditions and change in time of day brings the game to life and Overall Le Mans 24 Hours Racing Game was so Damn Good!!

Great game on the ps2. I wish modern racing games were more like this instead of trying to be hard core sims. I miss the satisfaction of unlocking a new car etc

Does this one has commentary like in PS1 version? Although he mainly commented on player. Whenever the player: -cross the finish line (1st-3rd) -lap 1-10 notice + final lap -enter the pitstop -overtake another racer -overtaken by another racer -crash with another racer -crash into the wall (damage on) -out of road/track -out of fuel (retired) -engine smokes from overheat -engine is wrecked from overheat (retired) Moreover before any race he always introduces all cars in the race and player's car has much longer introduction.

I had this when I was a teenager. didn't play it a lot, but my god did the makers even go to lemans? The turns are right, but lemans is not that hilly, and the straights in many places are way to long.

I thought the same thing. I try everything. Low aerodynamics, nearly empty fuel, soft tires, engine set on sprint, gears set on balance. And my best lap without aids was 3.52.672, I don't know where those damn 20 seconds will come from

Só que no Dreamcast é um pouco melhor os efeitos de luz as texturas e as sombras dos carros adversários! Têm vídeos comparativos no KZbin! Mas aqui em casa tenho esse jogo no Dreamcast com o GDEMU e tenho ele também no HD interno do playstation 2 FAT e a diferença ao vivo é muito grande pois no Dreamcast as cores são mais vivas assim como as texturas e a resolução!

Wow.. For a PS2 game these graphics are pretty rubbish, expected more compared to the PS1 version. Maybe the GT series just makes all the other lower budget racers look low quality.
