At 3:10, the description of Dino tossing his stick was something I got to witness in 1966 at a concert when the Young Rascals toured with Dick Clark's, "Where the Action Is" show. Dino was unbelievable! I had seen him on the first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show immediately prior to this which was before "Good Lovin'" came out. From that point on, I bought every album. I was a drummer in a garage band at the time and I did my best to imitate Dino but nobody could beat his showmanship or unique charisma. I was fortunate to see them again in 1970 when they performed for Danny Thomas' fund raiser, St. Jude's Children.s Hospital and Danny made it a point to acknowledge - and thank - them for not only donating their pay to the charity but also paid all their expenses to and from New York to Miami Beach. These guys practiced the love that they preached. They will always be young in my heart. Thank you, Young Rascals, Rascals, Dino, Felix, Eddie and Gene. You gave me many happy memories and I smile every time that I think of you or hear your music.

I saw Dino and the Rascals at the LA Forum in 1969. They opened with "Good Lovin". It was Dino's showmanship and drumstick twirling that lit up the place. I'd never seen a drum player command the drum kit like Dino did that night. The Rascals did not use a guitar bass in those days. However, Dino helped carry the bass line with a 24" bass drum.

Really appreciated Liberty's perspective about Dino's playing. I too was knocked out by his drumming and showmanship.
