If this week hasn't convinced you people that California is Number 1 in High School Football. I don't know what else could. The Number 1 conference. Number 1 team. California plays all comers. California's top teams routinely play each other. 5 of the top ten games of the week all in California. I have been saying this for the last 10 years. California has been the top state for High School Football for 11 years now. I am an expert. I tried to tell this to Zak 8 years ago.

I’ve been saying it also. The TRINITY LEAUGUE is absolutely insane. 2 of the top 5 programs - nationally- every year. And it’s not uncommon for at least 3 if not 4 in the top 25. Mater Dei, Bosco, JSerra & Servite are always good. In 2021, Bosco, Mater Dei and JSerra were all in the top 10

Mater Dei has been good since the damn 50s. Long Beach Poly has tons of Polys and they get their cheeks clapped. Look at the SEC and NFL. BLACK players are killing it..

Gotta acknowledge that Las Vegas is home to probably 85-90% California transplants, with the rest being locals, transplants from Hawaii, and then a small amount of transplants from the rest of the country! So majority of Gorman/Vegas kids also have some sort of roots in California. Yes, it is true that Cali has the best high school football, but it’s important to remember that Vegas is an honorary California town + second home to Californians, especially from LA/Southern California!

Mater Dei was dominant in the 90s, then SLS beat them 4 straight in the late 90s MD fell off a little until recently. Once SJB started winning state titles in the early 2010s, MD went full football factory mode.

I was at the game. MD had more penalty yards than Gorman had actual yards. This wasn't even a competition. Gorm completed 1 pass until the 4th quarter when their starters were playing MD backups. On their first scoring drive they got 40 yards in penalties. That were questionable at best. Basically it seemed like MD was hitting Gorman players to hard so the refs start calling personal fouls. No penalties this is a 42-0 game.
