I think we will likely miss some aspects of the 4-team CFP format. The quality of big game regular season (+ conference title) games will diminish. We won’t ever see regular season playoff stakes again comparable to 2023 #2 Ohio State vs #3 Michigan OR #8 Alabama vs #1 Georgia. On the bright side, more teams will be relevant and have a legit shot at making the postseason. It keeps more fanbases interested in the season that really never had a playoff shot in the past. More quantity of relevant games, but of less quality. Quality vs quantity. … The change that I’m most excited about is seeing playoff games played at college campuses. Imagine the possibilities. Alabama @ Ohio State in Columbus for example. Tennessee @ Michigan in Ann Arbor. Etc.

@@djbarrow5959Nah I still go OU Vs. UGA at #1 it literally had everything. Georgias defense locked down the 2nd half and sacked mayfield several times. Looked like Georgia was going to win in regulation but Mayfield battles back to tie it. Then in OT Georgia blocks a kick and walks it off the next play. Michigan and Bama was great and definitely deserves to be high up on this list but not the top spot.

As a Michigan fan, the Michigan vs Bama Rose Bowl will subjectively be #1 in my heart. I would objectively say Oklahoma vs Georgia was a better game from beginning to basically the end. I think our Michigan game had a better ending though 😇. We knew Georgia would win after Oklahoma missed the FG.

Watching the 4th quarter losing by a substantial amount like any football fan watching your team I was hoping for a comeback. But knew it was very unlikely even for Georgia. But to see the “impossible” happen infront of your eyes and then get to a point where you basically had to pray for a missed fg. To get the lucky miss to ring in the new year. It was elating. I tell people all the time that UGA won that game with Stetson throwing a pick and the special teams unit missing 2 FGs. The thing I don’t like is that in this example, and a lot of other similar situations like this, Trevor Lawrence ducked down so of course the defensive player is going to hit him in the head/neck area. The game happens so fast so what is the defensive player supposed to do when the offensive player lowers his head first. I just feel that the “targeting” penalty is miss used as a lot of the times a flag is thrown for it, the defensive player wasn’t trying to cause an injury, but like I said the game happens so fast that these plays just happen sometimes

As a Sooners fan, I knew the game was over the moment they couldn’t score a touchdown to close out the game against Georgia in the first OT. That Georgia team was young but damn good in the areas that matter and that’s the trenches on both sides. Add those running backs and you can’t do much about it.

@parkerberry4622 I truly believe Lincoln Riley leaving Oklahoma was the best thing for Sooner fans. He's a guy that appreciates effort on defense, but doesn't prioritize it... obviously, because he's an offensive minded coach. However, being the HEAD coach, you HAVE to care about your defense. Now, USC is suffering from this. Maybe one day, he'll learn, but those Oklahoma teams will forever remain one of, if not the biggest "what if" CFP teams in playoff history. Oh well. #GODAWGS
