Ikea has some AMAZING food in Singapore. They incorporated a lot of local cuisine into their brunch menu, like the Lor mee and water-cooked shrimp. The desserts are phenomenal as well.

Actually the largest Ikea in Singapore is at Tampines which you should have went when you visited Tampines Hub. They have free shuttle service as well from the nearby bus interchange. However each Ikea like you mentioned have slightly different local menu. Their garlic toast is great as well and is perfect with the mushroom soup. FYI lor mai kai and siew mai is read using their Cantonese names hahaha that's how we call all the dim sum items in Singapore and Malaysia.

Scandanavian and Northern European countries do mushroom soup like no other. I would expect no less from an Ikea, even in Singapore. Best mushroom soup I've ever had was in Oslo, Norway. I made a Serious Eats recipe for it just a few weeks ago because I was chasing that monster. It was almost but not quite.

I think the tricks that have worked the most for me are using Vegeta and making a double strength dried mushroom stock with shaoxing wine (because that's all I had once and it was nicer) and using too much white pepper in it. Honestly I think it's the vegeta doing all the heavy lifting that stuff is magic.

The Crush drinks are really just flavored fizzy mineral water with a bit more soda characteristic than the usual flavored fizzy mineral water. Pretty common drink here in Sweden and we also love our flavored mineral water. I drink a fair bit of both Loka and Ramlösa with various flavors, especially in summertime. I struggle with just plain tap water even though Sweden has excellent tap water both when it comes to taste and safety. For me plain water is a texture thing (I’m autistic), along with it just going straight through me so I feel dehydrated more easily. If I drink carbonated flavored mineral water or diet soda, I can somehow both drink more and stay hydrated better. IKEA food is surprisingly good for something mass produced. Been many years now since I last went to IKEA though (last time was in 2010), currently my closest IKEA is little over an hours drive away so I just never get around to going for some reason. Last year when I did drive past an IKEA I was considering stopping by to have dinner there but it was approaching rush hour so I wanted to try to get past the potential bottle necks if I could, so ended up at a famous Neapolitan style pizzeria in my neighbor town instead of IKEA in Gothenburg. Almondy Daim cake is amazing in moderation! We can buy them in grocery stores here in Sweden and initially they came around as a gluten free cake but they’re so good people buy them even if not being on a gluten free diet. Almondy has some different cakes but the daim one is by far the best!
