Still coming back to this show after all these years. This is a moment in musical history I will be talking about until I die. Wish they had done a full length with flux, mt hood, and even the king.

Man, I love the intensity but I feel like their new stuff is better from a composition perspective. They're also tighter. Some of the spasmic rhythm changes on Trash Generator are insane.

This show was at my house on Main Street, Nevada City, CA. The venue was appropriately named "The Basement" as that's exactly where it was. Over the course of a few years we had some amazing shows, I'm super grateful to come across videos like these. I was in a band with Tera Melos drummer Vince Rogers when we were in high school. I haven't seen him in a long time and I hope he's doing well. I searched for the video of Jeff climbing the wall/ceiling at UC Davis earlier today. My band Pisces Knife was on the bill for that show, I wanted to show someone that because him climbing that beam is a story I still tell to this day, then KZbin put this video in my recommended feed just now. Thanks for the video of my hazy memories.

how is it possible that this dude is almost, if not /as good/ as Clardz? they fucking both shred i cant imagine how lucky they must feel having met these incredible drummers back to back. Im sure theres more to the story than that

I would kill to see Vince or Jeff in the band again. I love Clardy, but I love the math rock direction before Patagonian Rats (I don't know why everyone calls Patagonian Rats and X'ed out math rock, the band would tell you themselves that they're not a math rock band).

Btw this is 40 rods to the hogs head off of drugs to the youth I don't know why that's not in your tags or title....I think this vid is their best live recording of this song, it tops seargent house sesh by far....nice shot of his pedal work on the line6 delay box! He accidently hit one of his distortion pedals there too.....

I almost prefer the more raw direction of this song of when Vince was on drums, instead of the more trippy direction they took with it
