And that just because you play videogames or spend time on them that it doesn't mean you can't do anything else? Know a lad who works at a multinational company and does radars, he games a few hours a day and still finds time to finish all his work and be done in time for the deadline. People enjoying their time off and playing a game doesn't mean they accomplish nothing or that it is wrong to have some fun and de-stress . Your way of approaching this is such a simplistic way of thinking approaching shallow. 12-4 gives a lot of xp fast and if the guy had a few hours left why not finish it if you want to and have nothing else to do.

What's interesting, is no one seems to be considering OS. You can gain XP from maps that aren't map or siren coordinates at no oil cost. As long as you have AP (which I have more than I know what to do with), you can set your ships to auto-search and step away, letting them clear whole maps at a time. Even if the enemies are lower, you're clearing tons of them at no oil cost so you can go in full guns blazing if you wanted.

@@paulschauer6273 Per map, but if you're concerned about oil, you will farm faster most likely. If you're trying to conserve oil, as long as you have AP you can farm OS endlessly.

It could be done but PR farming in OpSi is too sub-optimal to recommend. *There are no oil costs but for most players, a very inefficient method when already doing something tedious could cause burnout.* This is like farming 12-4 or 8-4 but then switching to farming 3-4 all of a sudden just because my oil won't let me farm 12-4. It would burn me out. PR farming is a marathon. Not a sprint. It's better to take a break from it from time to time rather than constantly PR farming only to burnout and stop playing the game entirely. So when the player's oil runs out, I would suggest them to take a break rather than PR farm OpSi for a very sub-optimal farming experience.

Unless you're really stretched on time, I would never use a level 120 ship as part of a mob fleet though. You're better off getting as many girls to 120 as you can.

If I go for oil efficiency 7-2 is my go now. There is a reason it's called a gold mine - I do 3 fights, collect all the ''?'' marks, retreat and repeat the process again. With this I got roughly 25k gold and did 70% for the first Hakuryuu XP grind quest in 1 day. People who have time on their hands I recommend trying this out!

Also, don't forget to do your dailies with ships that can give you XP towards the pr you are grinding, this includes 3 hard modes and 6 daily raids (or 12 on sundays). Exercice does not count toward the exp grinding. Also for operation siren, the missions themselves, the humanoid sirens, the ships protecting a transport or the trap supplies (btw did you knew you could just escape those and they do not hinder your clearing progress for the zone) do not give xp (the training one in ports does), but other things do give xp, the mobs and the bosses, so yea you can clear sectors and farm for pr at the same time, I get to 200 META coordinates every day like that. After I do that, well, just go to 12-2 and 12-4 like he says.

The hidden zone (accessed via Coordinate Loggers) in OpSi allows EXP farming without any oil cost and fleets in OpSi are always 3:3. Only the red colored ships give's EXP though (blues give zero EXP) though. For backline EXP farming (Sakura PR mainships), it seems that Houshou with max 15% EXP boost to CVs gives better overall EXP per oil when in a 2:1 fleet compared to 1:1. I'm using Taihou (flagship) + Houshou for backline and Birmingham for frontline for Hakuryuu farming.

@@patrickhaisayang8825 They are only worth using when farming for a ship from the same faction while supporting other ships of the same type. For an example: using Houshou and other 2 IJN CVs/CVLs to farm Haku or using Langley and other 2 USS CVs/CVLs to farm for Georgia (15% EXP boost to the other shipgirls + her own EXP gains). If you're farming for FDG, using a 3:1 KMS main fleet (assuming you're not short on oil, 1:1 is more oil efficient) is the better option. From the top of my head, the EXP boosting ships are: Amazon, Yuubari, Houshou, and Langley. Dunno if there are any other. Hope I was able to help.

@@patrickhaisayang8825 I'd say that any of the KMS backlines that you have available at the moment will do a great job clearing farming stages, especially if you have Bismarck and build your fleet around her buffs. When I was farming for FDG my fleet consisted of Bismarck, Graf Zepellin, and Peter Strasser. I used Roon as my Vanguard since I was leveling her at the time, but any other shipgirl with good survivability would do. Happy farming, and good luck!! o7

How to grind EXP fast? Just have no life 4head. Edit: jokes aside, there's another thing to farm EXP faster. Certain characters have skills that increase EXP gain of certain hull types in the same team. For example, HMS Amazon increases EXP earned in battle by destroyers in the same fleet. If possible, take advantage of that.

Also, if you’re saving oil and are farming chapter 2 for max coin efficiency, you can use a common destroyer/CV for the additional free exp so as to not waste your time. It only works for some PR ships due to requirements though.

can't u just use common/low cost ships other than dds tho? I've got bluestacks on a lot of the time just autoing and after doing a little research I found out about the exp boost skill yuubari has so ive made a makshift frontline of all sakura empire cl's and bogue in the back(all 0 limit broken for oil saving) to farm for ibuki exp. I just got back into the game and so i keep seeing new strategies for farming and I don't know if this is efficient or not (I do 2-4, I dont know if any of the other 2- stages are better)

@@CMTechnica oil is something that I find easy to deal with. Just stop sortieing for a day or 2 and you'll have more than enough. Gold is honestly harder to come by which is why I tend to camp in 7-2 for PR farming. It's slower but it at least gives me the most gold which could help me limit break, awaken, and retrofit more ships.

Does New Jersey in a second fleet help or hinder progress? You can set her fleet to not attacking and she has the ability to send a wave to help the other fleet and therefore minimize the damage and help clearing faster.

I don't understand how the safe threat plays into the PR grinding, and how auto clearing works and all that. Like, what do I need to do to automate it as much as possible? Clearing on, role to "all enemies"? I don't quite understand that part of it when choosing a map to farm exp on. And what's the reason for using a 3:1 or 1:3 and not a full fleet other than oil consumption? Does exp get split amongst them more unfavorably, to say so? Or you're just trying to max the chance for the MVP towards the right ship?

Sorry for responding so late. Note = When I say "half of the fleet", I am referring to Main fleet and Vanguard fleet separately (i.e. 3:0 or 0:3). To answer your questions: We don't have a full fleet since that means more chances for the wrong half of the fleet to get MVP. EXP doesn't get reduced with more ships but that means less exp to gain for whichever half of the fleet isn't contributing to the PR/DR you are working on. We care about this becuase of fleet technology points. For maps, safe threat makes it easier for lower leveled ships to get exp, thus delaying the amount of ships that don't gain exp becuase they are max leveled. Again, fleet technology points. We also mainly choose maps that only have ships that you can only get through the campaign and that are good ships if you don't have 12-2/12-4 unlocked (like explained in the video at 8:10 - 8:32, however, if you have 12-2/12-4, then do that. In terms of automating, you can if you want and are able to clear it comfortably. It doesn't matter in terms of exp gain whether you have it on or off.

I'm not actually sure which play style is me. I'm super impatient and always want to be done with everything as fast as possible, yet at the same time, I hate running out of oil super fast. So maybe somewhere in the middle? I dunno. I've reached world 10-2 by playing 100% autopilot mode so my farming is no different. I'm currently farming the XP for Seattle. First first 1mil task is almost done. But man, even with only 1 main fleet ship, my vanguards still can't get MVP. Now to be fair, i'm mostly OK with that as my flag ship is New Jersey and I want her to hit 120 asap, but yeah. The math in my head just doesn't make sense. In theory you should run dry on oil long before you come anywhere close to having finished that 3mil grind in total. And once you run dry, you're literlaly just waiting around for a few days for your oil to regen.

I farm 7-2 with a 1:3 fleet. I got around 40% of the 1 million exp for Kitakaze after a couple of hours farming using Yuubari max LB with full retro and level 10 on her EXP skill with Furakata and her sister max LB and full retro with Fusou Lb2 and the confetti gun. Do 3 fights, grab the ? nodes then gtfo. Rinse n repeat prioritizing 2/3 star fights
