People in the chat were ridiculous talking about Peter hitting and quitting. The guy played 9 hours this night. He also played the first two nights (3 out of 4 total nights), which was the most of any player. Anybody who wanted to win against him had their chances. These were high stakes million dollar games. Peter doesn't need to stay in additional couple hours to bleed money back to the losing players.

I hear you but he was also gone 30% of the time he played, maybe 40% tonight exclusively. He left for 30 min periods of time multiple times throughout the night. It's very bad for the game, normally he is really good for the game in every other stream I've seen him play up tons or down tons but he is never gone for that long like he was the past few days.
@gamblerfls
@gamblerfls 7 ай бұрын
He was leaving games multiple times, staying away some hours. The second day he quit after just a few hours and the stream had to end earlier. It's not really what spectators expect from a million dollar buy-in game which was advertised for months. All those people who play in these games are rich, it's not like a few more millions will change their lives. It was entertaining to see Peter play during the times he played, he was being absurdly lucky on the rivers. But I believe the show has more entertaining players to invite, players who understand how a poker show like HCL works and respect the audience.
@aqn1976
@aqn1976 7 ай бұрын
It's not that ridiculous because I bet you anything that if Peter were on the losing end of those hands and the player was sun-running the table, Peter would be pissed if said player did exactly what he did each night I promise you that bc poker etiquette would dictate otherwise...

What Peter did might not be the hit-and-run since he played for about 8 hours. People are not upset because what he did was hit and run. It was about his attitude. He has made more than 5 million because of countless luck and others' bad beat. When he lost the huge pot for the first time in three nights, he instantly showed an angry look and immediately asked the lady to pack his chips so that he could leave. Seriously? After winning 5 million? Do you show an angry look on your face like that? Even those who lost 2-3 million, like Thomas or Texas Mike didn't express anger like Peter did. The etiquette Peter showed was so disgusting. If I were a poker player, I would never want to play poker with someone like Peter.

Peter may be a decent player but he could not have gotten luckier because he hits mostly every flop, or turns it rarely needing to get to the river to get the effective nuts each time which is utterly ridiculous. Further, NOT ONLY is he hitting his hands hard, in those hands an opponent usually has the effective lower nuts thereby making the run twice as much which in this game is a crazy large amount. I wanted to see him lose a big hand just once to see the tilt factor that affects everyone but he was so lucky that his came in the last few hrs of DAY 4!!!

This is just super weird logic to me. The guy played for like 9 hours, it was well past midnight, and he had been playing and running pure. For taking the cards out the shuffling machine and dealing them?🤣 Magic didn't even know how to chop the pot when the 1st board was split between Santoshi and Keating and 1/3 between Tang. No way in tipping more than $25 dollars maybe $100 for big pots. To take 100k off the table for the help is insane. The swings in this game require you to try to get all your chips in at any moment to maximize this opportunity. Not to look cool tipping. I've never had a dealer tip me after felting me with a 2 outer.

At the end of the million dollar event, its always fun to look back. A boring hour of nick and ryan talking to doug a couple weeks ago suddenly becomes the comedic piece of the year. The ambition and joyous promises right after finishing the mediocre display is hilarious. To be fair, they were a lot more realistic this year and didnt talk in absolutes like last year. This year its just funny but last year was aggregious with over 30 things promised and guranteed not coming true. Including but not limited to "players have to run it once" which is admittedly a silly rule. Still... HCL is hilarious and Nick is a joke

Honestly stop bitching about Peter being a nit and not bluffing/not giving action, it’s a million USD on the table, and every player has the right to play exactly how they believe they could win the most money. On the other hand, if you’re an elite player, that means you can massively expand your folding range, and fold every hand if you think you only have a bluff catcher. Peter is exactly the type of player Dwan along with other pro player wants on the line-up, and also why he’s still so friendly after he’s lost over a million to the guy - because he wants more chances to play these big games with him
