@mr.kramer54352 жыл бұрын
I can honestly say this channel changed my life. My mother passed away almost 2yrs. ago. I looked after her for over 10yrs. She helped me get through some dark times in my life. It was literally on the same day she passed that I found VGG. After a while I started to become interested in cars again. I'll be 59 soon but when I was 16/17yrs. old I was a mechanic's apprentice. I chose an other career later. Ironically, my son did become a mechanic. We had become distant with each other but when my mother became ill, he put on his winter tires and drove 250 miles to be at her side. Later that night he heard the intro for VGG and we sat together watched an episode. Since then he's moved back in with me. I bought a car that we could work on together. I emailed Derek for advice on which would he recommend performance heads or Holley Sniper. The car is a perfect sleeper now and I just bought a Mustang that was a drag and we're going to "dial it down a bit". Thank you Derek, your family and other subscribers who helped an older feller to see there still is sunshine. You just have to know where to look.

A few things have come to me over the years of watching VGG: 1) I love the quirks and sence of humor of Derek 2) I love the adventures you take us on 3) You're intentionally or unintentionally teaching people to be problem solvers 4) Every man deserves his very own Jessica and the boys. Derek, you don't need to keep thanking us. Thank YOU! for the last 3 years, you've instilled patients in a lot of people when they've needed it the most! I don't know if i could turn wrenches without spouting a curse word every 2 minutes. But, you let your knowledge of this stuff guide you instead of getting angry at everything. and it's enjoyable watching someone who knows what he's talking about speak that knowledge. Thank YOU!

I tried to recall how many subscribers existed when I joined, and to the best of my recollection, it was about 2000, not that it matters, but it certainly has been fun going along for the ride. ✌🏻

@@verlinswarey507 I am pretty sure it was during 2018-seems like it was summertime because he was installing a lowering kit on a gold colored Chevelle. I watched a budget engine rebuilding episode before the Chevelle. I was working on my first restoration project and was considering doing the engine myself to save money, but I don’t remember if I subscribed at that time-probably did because I did do the engine work. I wish he’d get 20 million subscribers-he’s hilarious, generous and helpful.

Congratulations Derek! We want to thank you for allowing us a glimpse into yours and your family's life. Your approach to car repair and restoration is unique and fresh. A feller has shot more than a few cold snacks out the ol schnozzola from laughing so much. Thank you Derek, Jessica, and the boys for being who you are and doing what you do. Keep doing what you do and we'll be here when you hit the 2 million mark. 😁👍❤️
