This turned out amazingly!! The dark colours are definitely the way to go with diamond art! And on the topic of jk rowling, its completely within your rights to seperate art from the artist. Daniel Radcliffe had a really nice interview where he straight up denied JKR's TERF nonsense. The last sentence was something to the effect of "if you identified with this story in any way, then thats between you and the story and no one can interfere with that, not even the author", encouraging people to not feel ashamed for still being attached to the series. You're right, Minori, the series is so much more than it's author. edit: CONGRATS ON 1MIL! 🥳

Might be said already, but I love using glue dots or kneadable eraser instead of the pink wax. It stays sticky much longer, so you don’t have to change it out as often. Also to prevent neck pain it can help to put the canvas in an angle. There are special stands to do so, but a laptop stand also works great.

Minori, next time if you do diamond art, make sure you have a low chair / lowered chair because it puts less strain on your neck and back. I found it so much easier to do long periods of time of diamond art this way. Also, if your hand starts hurting from rubbing off the beads you can lay a tea towel on it and lay your hand on it to prevent it from hurting from rubbing off them. Hope this helps if you ever do another diamond art! Love you, your pets and your art!

I love these challenges! I almost bought a diamond art kit to do on my own, but I see how long it takes and don't know if I'll lose interest. Do you have a recommendation for those new to it? I'd like it to be something relaxing to do in the evenings after a long day at work! Side note: My 8 year od nephew has been reading the Harry Potter Books and watching the corresponding movie after he finishes the book. Once he completes them all we are all going to Universal so he can visit "hogwarts" and buy his wand, robe, etc... I was just in Orlando, FL for a conference at Universal Studios and it took everything I had not to buy the robes and wand and tie, etc. for him!!! Yes, I am an auntie who loves to spoil her nephews! Someday I hope I can take him to Japan too, as he is a huge Mario Bro fan too (yes, I know we are getting it here too), but Japan's parks IMO are so much better... I mean Disney Sea, am I right?!?
@sorashirogane70392 жыл бұрын
As someone who has done diamond art, I personally don't lose interest. But if you wanna get into it, I recommend starting small. My first kit was a small hello kitty frame, and I continued from there. Also, don't stress about trying to complete it all, instead, try to work in small sections at a time. This way, you control how much you can pay attention to in terms of sections. It's also preferable, since limiting yourself to sections means you can take time to rest as well. I hope it helps~

As someone who has done quite a bit of diamond painting, the biggest thing is not to rush. If you try and rush it, you'll lose interest super quickly because it is something that takes a long time, especially when you're working on more detailed pieces. Something that always helps me is to either watch tv, a movie, a game, etc while you do it, and time will fly. That way your focus isn't all on the diamond painting at once. If you can't do that, some music always helps to lighten the mood! Also, invest in a light box or light tablet -- they sell for relatively cheap and they make working on the diamond paintings SO much easier. As far as kits go, I would personally start off with Diamond Art, which you can find in places like Michaels, Jo Anne's, or even get off of their website. They are the most user friendly and there are ones that are partial, so the whole thing isn't diamonds, only sections are. Make sure you're taking breaks to stretch and roll your neck! And most importantly, just have fun with it! It doesn't matter if it takes a year to complete or a few days -- what matters is that you're relaxing and you're having a moment to yourself while creating something beautiful.

You're doing amazing, Minori! Pressure can get to us sometimes, but you don't have to feel like we're here to judge you or to put even more pressure on you. I love your videos & don’t often comment but this one really is great; I agree that just because a creator has views you don’t agree with doesn’t mean you have to completely write off their creations if you are connected to them for other reasons (depending on topic). And yess take your breaks, your health is more important especially in the long run than completing a video. Enjoy life while also enjoying creating but do not let the creating take over your joy

I absolutely LOVE doing these diamond art paintings. I’ve finished 3 small ones and a huge dreamcatcher wolf in the span of 2 weeks. (You can say I’m obsessed 😂) ✨ A tip that I have for the diamond art is that when you finish your art, put a piece of plastic or something else over painting and roll a rolling pin over it. (I personally don’t put plastic over it, but you can. It doesn’t change anything and I’ve used both methods.) You’ll be able to hear popping and that’ll be the air bubbles under the diamonds being released. It’ll help the diamonds stick better. I hope that helps. Anyway, I adored the Hermoine art you created. I cannot wait to see what other diamond art you come up with. ☺️☺️ P.S. I was also unaware of the things J.K. Rowling had said, but upon reading a comment in the comment section, I’m right there with you. I don’t support her, but I will still support the Harry Potter world. 🪄

Congrats on your million!! Your hair is nice - and, it will grow back, so it's not a big deal. I love how your diamond art turned out! I wondered about all the dark colors, but you are right: they really do shine!

I actually have the same notebook XD Though it's more of a sketchbook for me as it has blank pages. I got mine from the Harry Potter Experience however.

Hey Minori!! I had an idea for an ASMR channel for, like, only diamond art paintings bc it's super satisfying and you've been doing it a bunch in 2022. If not that is OK!! Still love you and your channel!
