Used to be a custom framer at Michael's so here are my tips for framing something like this nicely without paying for custom framing. Get acid free foam board and stretch the canvas around a board cut about an 8th of an inch smaller than your dimensions and use straight pins to pin it into the foamy sides. Tape excess canvas to the back. This will prevent the art from possibly sagging in the frame over time. Staple into the back of the frame at an angle with a staple gun. This is the method custom framers use to frame embroidery, so you can look up tutorials if you need them. The poster frames at Michael's are truly awful crap, honestly you would probably better off spray finishing the gem art and throwing that plastic away as it scratches easily. Also, a framing note not specific to gem art, non-professionals always frame stuff by laying the frame face down and placing the art into the frame... Its much better to lay the art on a clean flat surface, place the glass or plastic on top, then the frame, then flip it over. This way you can see if there is dirt or hair under the glass or plastic BEFORE you've closed the whole thing up.

@phoebechandler89324 жыл бұрын
Mia Couch yeah I did but here in the uk when u buy a frame you just have to make sure ur canvas is cut to the right size and then you put it in and it’s done.. you don’t have to do all this fancy stuff with nail guns and canvas which would cost more than just buying a precut frame
@mvo98564 жыл бұрын
@@phoebechandler8932 what you are describing could result in the canvas sagging over time or slipping in the frame. I get that you just don't care all that much about doing it the right way and that's fine. But I am going to go on my little rant anyways because this is just a huge pet peeve of mine--- people think framing is about making art look pretty or whatever and it has become that for most people. But frames weren't invented to make art pretty... Art is already pretty! Frames were invented to protect art and other valuables. Everything a framer does is to prevent bad things from happening to the art. The glass protects from dust, the frame protects the edges from damage the matting protects the paper from moisture gluing it to the glass and etc. Okay so maybe you don't care if the art starts to slouch or sag in the frame. But some people do! So like. Chill. Lol (And yes I see the irony in my saying chill after being so un-chill.)

Oooh..... a fresh new artist for DAC! I am happy! You can never get bored with DAC always coming out with something fresh and Vibrance and captivating like your four pieces of artwork that you licensed to them. I like the style of video because it actually was not just an unboxing but it showed you relating to your artwork all over again through the different phases, all the way into framing the finished piece. Now I just have to figure out which piece I want to buy first! I know it wouldnt be cheap enough for Doller-rama, but look into the containers from Harbor Freight, if guou can find one nearby. To keep myself from mixing up the labels, I can use the Harbor Freight containers because the lid just Hibbetts on it and doesn't actually come completely off. If you have a xyron sticker maker and you have the non permanent cartridge, you may find that sticking them on the side also helps with keeping the symbols together with the right color drills.

How cool! I've never heard of these but I can definitely see myself getting into them in the futute, I used to do something similar but it was with string and it made a tiny carpet in the end.

I'd buy them but that's still pretty expensive for diamond art, I feel $30 is more appropriate, still up there but worth it.

i found a lot of mine off amazon for 15-20$ and they’re about 30cm by 40cm and come with everything you need!
@joahnnaibarra22824 жыл бұрын
@@morgansweeney6392 DAC is expensive but I find that it is worth it considering the quality and the fact that they license art. Most cheap diamond paintings from amazon and ali express tend to steal art and not compensate the original artists which is a deal breaker for me. Right now I exclusively buy from DAC but only every once in a while because of the cost, other shops that license art are DIY Moon Shop and Treasure Studios Art. Hope you all the best in your diamond painting!

Congrats Baylee! 😄🎉😎🎉 I LOVE them ❣❣ and yes, watch out for the ones that steals images sadly.. Consumers are not aware this is happening but keep your eyes wide open please, it is done VERY often! (Although most of the people who do this hobby and are with FB groups and get the message that for instance it happened are very willing to help in any way is my experience) But I think that everybody will love your drawings and I absolutely believe that they will sell out in no time!! 🎉 And I honestly hope that you will bring out a new series, just like you did now, for the experienced but also very beginner's friendly pieces! I love it! 🤗 Again, congrats girl!! 🎉🤗😎

Another tip. This might be the solution for your AB drills. I use water on the pen. I use very little wax and probably don’t need any. Dip the end of your drill pen into water and flick off the excess. The capillary action will stick your drill to the pen and not damage the drill. I can do this every few minutes instead of refilling the drill pen with wax or blu-tac. Then the sticky canvas attracts and sticks the drill with little pressure.

I love how you used your own art to make new art, if that makes any sense. So using you’re drawing to make the the diamond painting.

Diamond art club are a great company, really high quality. Thanks for doing your diamond paintings through them rather than dodgy companies

This looks like so much fuuuun! And it seems like the company is actually putting effort into making the art into pixel art and not just using program to convert it. I definitely wanna buy one of yours when I can afford it!

Beautiful! Even before I saw yours finished, I knew I wanted this same one. Now it's on the way. Most of my DPs are darker images (in color, not topic), so this is a real departure for me.

My best friend is ALL about these diamond painting. We get together for "Art Days". We both started out coloring, and then she found diamond painting! There was no looking back for her. So, now I pack up my card making things, or watercolor paint that I may be working on, pick up some yummy snacks and we sit and do our art, catch up, a laugh at a lot. I have to admit, though, there's some days where art really doesn't get done! It's just a great excuse to get together and hang out. I'm going to send her a link to this. I think her granddaughter would love any of these to be in her room! Great to see you doing this! 😊😊

I started following you when you were working on Petal Dancer because I saw your artwork on Diamond Art Club. It was great seeing this video where you just received your diamond paintings. I just want to say it is amazing watching you doing artwork from a blank canvas/paper to something amazing. Hopefully we’ll see more diamond paintings soon.
