1 Month Post Hysterectomy

I got a vaginal hysterectomy (not laparoscopically assisted) on January 3rd 2019. The surgeon removed my cervix, uterus, and right fallopian tub.
I am 27 years old, and have never been pregnant.
I got a hysterectomy because I had severe primary dysmenhorrhea. While I am transgender (nonbinary, they/them), the reason for my hysterectomy had nothing to do with my gender identity.
I am currently not on any hormones/HRT. I was on the Mirena IUD, and they removed that the same day of my procedure. Since I kept my ovaries, I have no need for any hormone therapy if I don't want it.

I'm sorry that you're experiencing pain, but it also sounds so liberating knowing you'll never have a period again or experience the kind of menstrual pain you did before. I'm not a fan of my periods either, so these videos are really helpful in showing me what to look forward to if I get a hysterectomy some day. I hope the rest of your healing process goes smoothly.
