Glad to see positive reviews and not complaining or calling out silly nonsense minimal flaws. I’m sure I’d be the same if I had my Cybetruck. I got the email for foundation series but I am going to hold off for the $80k version, such a tease as I want one so bad but $100k is a bit much for me willing to spend, even the $80k option will be the most expensive car I ever purchased

No wrong approach. And I'm sure you'd be just as content with the ownership when you get yours.

Another great video, and a real world approach to this Cyber Truck..lifestyle is the right way to look at it. When you think about it, MOST people don't use their vehicles for the purpose intended anyway. Some people are just mad at TVs, or don't know how to express themselves without anger. They don't think outside the box at all. Great stuff sir.

Exactly the point....most vehicles are purchased for the idea of what it represents rather than the actual purpose itself. You can't tell me all the owners of Range Rovers are out there trekking on terrain.

I plan to drive the cybertruck for my appliance business. Big shell on the back and tools in the back seat area.

This is my first truck so I can't speak to what a contractor would require out of need and performance of a truck. But from ownership I feel like it can perform whatever duty is asked of it.

Construction work pays well right now and into the future, and the cybertruck has the utility to serve their needs.

Yup. It's a very capable truck. Short of going extreme off roading, I think it can handle the day to day fairly easy.

I've got a CyberTruck. So I know things about the CyberTruck. One thing obvious is that it is not "misunderstood". But rather there are just a huge number of people who have no f***ing idea what they're talking about talking way too much. Every time I drive my CyberTruck I grin and laugh and tell my wife how freaking much I love it.

Same. My wife actually took it over from me :) That's how much she loves it.

Great video. I think "truck people" are still not convinced that the Cyber truck can actually give them the same or better usage as that of a typical Ford, Chevy, Ram, etc. fossil fuel truck. If you pay $80k-$100k plus for a fossil fuel truck, you'll get a whole lot of truck such as a top of the line half ton or off road version. They can haul and tow very heavy loads at great distances. So price wise, the Cyber truck is competing with another category of truck. The novelty of having a new unique Tesla won't get those die-hard truck people to switch, which is where the greatest volume of truck buyers reside. I personally love it. I have a Chevy Trailboss right now that I bought during the pandemic. I love the truck, but I don't off road or tow a bunch. I haul my gfs and my Harleys from time to time to areas where we want to ride. And yes we're riders but we don't beat the road up like we did when we were younger. I haul small things like the trash or a piece of furniture or something similar from time to time. Maybe some mulch for the flower beds. I've had my Trailboss for just over 4 years and have only put like 36k miles on it. So yeah, I could make the Cyber truck work for me no problem as far as the rangeit offers. The nearest charging station is less than 10 miles away. I live in a fairly rural area, so it's not bad. I paid around 50k plus for my Trailboss. I think you can get in a new one for somewhere in that range as well. So what's the motivation to go Cyber Truck. It's a real question for me as I've already been contacted by Tesla to choose my design. Yes, I ordered early when the price was 39k for entry level and I think 70k for the tri-motor. The Cyber truck is next, next level design wise. I love the forward thinking by Elon. It will take sometime for the general public to accept the design. People are not good with change which is why most trucks still look similar to trucks from 10-20 years ago. Hopefully people start accepting the Cyber truck and stop all the hate. It's really starting to hurt the value now. I was sent a like bu CarGurus yesterday tha had nearly 100 used Cyber trucks for sale. Shocked the hell out of me. Why are people selling???

That's the thing. There's so many options for all types of buyers with their unique needs. Not sure why there would be any hate for anyone's personal reason for what they want to buy. We should all just enjoy what we have and let it end there. I live in a place where there are a lot of hills and inclines. Had an Escalade that would struggle to get up the hill. But the instant torque of an EV just makes the drive all the much easier (for me).

Rivian was always marketed as an adventure truck. The issue is how Elon/Tesla marketed the truck. They set the bars, get the product falls short in some aspects. They built the hype for over 4 years, and it just diesnt match the hype. For example, you speak on build quality, but what would be difficult about building the interior of the truck? Its large slabs of plastic and a central screen lol.

You are correct. I think delivery day in TX showed the CT in a workhorse type of manner. From pulling to turning radius, to showing images of it being in a work environment painted the picture for many. If they did any sort of camping lifestyle media, it's skipped my memory. At least if they did, it wasn't a strong message or image that was set by Tesla for the CT. However I think they can redeem themselves through the types of accessories that they (Tesla) or 3rd parties come out with. If add ons put the CT in more of a lifestyle function, then that will define the truck. Time will tell. Tesla has came a long way in terms of build quality. While the original S and X and 3 and Y were rightly critiqued, I have to say the refreshed models really stepped it up. The new/current S and X's are a huge improvement as is the new Model 3. However I would say the CT is even more solid in build quality than all those. Something as simple as shutting the doors and feeling the solidness of it all speaks a lot. And while the interior remains simplistic in its design, all the function that you need are still available. If you are a seasoned owner of any Tesla cars previous, then you can get into the CT and feel immediately at home. Some may like Tesla''s approach, and others may not. I guess it comes down to personal flexibility of adapting to Tesla's way or preference in terms of liking the old approach with hard buttons. Personally, I don't mind either.

Yeah, it’s definitely a lifestyle vehicle. I’m by no means anti-EV, but I wouldn’t drop Cybertruck or Hummer EV money on an EV. If I had a top 5 list of contenders I’d consider, I’d put the VW ID4 at the top, followed by the Polestar 2, if Polestar was still viable, but they’re not being supported by Volvo anymore. I’d seriously consider the Toyota bZ4X and Chevy Bolt. If I had to go premium, I’d go for a Lucid Air or Rivian.

@@OMGcarguy so, serious question I just thought about… the Cybertruck’s tires have a unique pattern on them, most notably the sidewalks. When the tires are due to be replaced, will Cybertruck owners be able to simply replace them with off-the-rack tires of the same size, or will they have to order these specific tires from Tesla?
@whodat9198
@whodat9198 10 күн бұрын
Yes you can put whatever tires you want on them. The world won't explode. These aren't even the standard tires the normal cybertruck will come with

Where did they fall short? It does, handles many things people weren't expecting. People are blown away most of the time. Battery prices are still high so it's the same for all EVs.

@@ambrosemorris5075 the criticism comes from Tesla haters and crazies that only think a truck should run on gas only. It took 4 years and cost more because China tried to kill the world with a virus, Tesla didn’t do that Let’s see if KZbin deletes this comment a second time
