Actually mental toughness and fundamental skills would over power that in a heartbeat, that is what makes a great player and that is what both McDermott and Korver have. Watch the 2011 NBA Finals and watch this tournament game closely and you'll see what I mean.

This is carolina basketball, 2 long, athletic bigs under the basket, a couple athletic guards and an unselfish elite PG. Vintage carolina. All though this team did take some bad shots, bad passes and just alot of unnecessary turnovers. Not a very disciplined Roy williams unc team.

I think the refs did a horrible job of getting control of this game there is a line between playing hard and playing dirty. Creighton walked that line the whole game and even crossed it a few times if they called early fouls or just gave the players warnings then i feel marshall would've never gotten hurt and UNC would've had a better chance of playing for a national championship.

Crazy that as good a career as Doug McDermott had, the only impact his team ever made in any NCAA tournament was injuring the top player on a national title contender in this game which changed the trajectory of this tournament.

Creighton knew they couldn't play with this team, so they decided to pull out all the stops.The wink Gibbs gives the bench when he slaps down on the ball and gets a Tech from Henson says enough. The shove on Marshall was clearly unneccesary. The player's back was turned when he was driving to the basket. All he had to do to foul was jump and hold both hands up, but he extends a forearm and shoves him to the floor. Creighton fans can cry all they want, but all of this is obvious to most everyone.
