I ordered the standard clamping system today and will build this for a Craftsman Contractor's Saw. I have used the extrusion to build CNC Routers and have some extra laying around here somewhere. It is great and available at the factory only a few miles away. Thanks for the videos. Mr. Little did not show as much in 27 videos, but I still enjoyed them.

Watching your videos has inspired me to build my own rails for the VSC Fence... I bout the tubing and Angle Iron.. My question is what do I need to do to remove the Mill Scale and Oil and do I have to remove it if I am going to primer and paint the rails?

About 25 to 30 years ago, Fine Woodworking published plans for a fence that uses an aluminum C channel for the fence, an angle for the T, and a length of Unistrut for the rail. You bolt the angle to the channel and the clamp is just a carriage bolt with a wood handle that tightens up a wood block with a nut in it that rides in the unistrut. It's a very simple build. I made one years ago and it works great.

Awesome guide for building these rails. I need to replace my old fence and have wanted to try Allan's fence but didn't have the rails to do it. Thank you. Is there any issues with the steel being warped at all?

Hello Steel Guy. What brand drill bits do you use? They went through that angle like hot butter. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. God bless.

Hello, what is your thoughts on using 1/4 aluminum stock for the angles and tube. This is easy to work with and would take some weight away. Do you see any issue by doing this?

Hello, I've watched your whole series but you never explain the setup of the 2 x 2 x 1/8 angle iron. How do you set that up to be in a comparable position as the front 3 x 3 x 1/4 angle iron?

It seems to me that this system relies on the steel box section to be absolutely straight, but I don't know that the steel is that straight.

The VSCT fence is way overpriced. That item that should be $80 should not be priced at $199. At that price it's worth the effort to build the t square as well as the rails.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this video is. Mr. Little already has a video out about his fence system. Having over 50 years as a Machinist, the only thing I found informative, was how much you don't know about the trade.
