@phantom0456

@@clayton5229Electric Blue“ is the color, not the method of propulsion. There was no electric or even hybrid F150 available in 2017. That being said, thirteenth gen F150’s are a dime a dozen, so I agree that nobody with any real appreciation for trucks would care about or give such a truck a second glance when compared with this beauty, though I question why you’re here if you have such a great dislike for Ford, as the truck featured in this video is essentially a vintage fifth generation F series in Mercury guise.

@LynxStarAuto

They made these trucks for several generations, a 19 year run. The reason you probably have never seen one is because they were sold exclusively at Canada dealerships. Some did trickle into The US, but Canada was their stomping grounds. They used to be more plentiful, but getting harder and harder to find today. My personal favorite are the early 50's with the two tone paint job. The fenders were painted a different color to the body, which gave them a cool offset.

What type of Transmission does she have?? I don't recall you mentioning it....or am I just spacing out?😜 It could be a 3 speed "Cruise-o-matic"... maybe yes? Or just a manual "3 on the Tree"?? If I had been restoring it, I would have tried to set up a floor mounted shifter but still try to stick with OEM parts. My Dad had a 1976 F250 4 speed on the floor. The 1st was actually a "compound low" No PS either!! It was like driving an old School Bus! 360 ci 2bbl..sounded like one too!!

I never knew there was a Merc pickup, much less a crew cab. That’s my favorite body style of Ford. My dad ordered a crew cab short bed in 1974. 390/ automatic, limestone green metallic paint and tan interior. Tough as nails, rode like a lumber wagon and passed everything but a gas station.
