Yes, it was a very good fit because i used the inner body as an distance holder, you can see it at 4:40, i just sit it dry in and i think thats the easiest way.

Good evening Mr. Thanasi. I loved your video. I think it's very instructive. But I have a question. There are two little pieces of wood inside the cabinet (look like a cross) that you don't mention at all in your video. What are they for and are the dimensions of them? I'm planing on making these cabinets this weekend coming up and I don't want to miss anything. I want to make them just like yours.

Hello, yes you are right, I forgot this. The dimension of one cross beam is 56,4cmx5cm and thickness was the same thickness as the enclosure, that means 19mm. The use of them is to make it more strong and rigid because of vibration. Im happy that you followed my video and that you build your own ones. Nices Ding, hätte allerdings 3 fragen: 1. Es ist nicht Pflicht die gesamte Box zu lackieren oder? Könnte man auch z.B. wie damals einfach diesen "Teppich" nehmen? 2. Kann man sich aussuchen welche Anschlüsse man benutz? Eigentlich ja oder? 3. Das Loch mit dem Metallring wo du die muttern draufgeschweißt hast ( Wo ich vermute das es dafür da ist einen Lautsprecher drauf zu montieren) kann man das weglassen?

Wie meinst du die komplette box zu lackieren, kann man doch ganz gut erkennen dass alles lackiert ist außer innen halt, dass was du meinst ist Lautsprecherfilz, würde ich nicht empfehlen da die Boxen auch mal draußen eingesetzt werden oder auch mal Getränke drüber laufen werden usw. das sieht dann irgendwann nicht mehr so schön aus. Ja kannst du eigentlich machen wie du willst, die Neutrik Stecker habe ich ausgesucht weil sie sehr robust sind und der Anschluss sich ziemlich unkompliziert machen lässt und man hat keine offenen Kontakte wie bei Cinch oder sonstigen. Ja genau, der Flansch dient dazu eine Stange drauf zu schrauben auf der dann die Topteile drauf gesteckt werden, kann man natürlich weg lassen, ich finde es aber ziemlich praktisch weil man dann nicht noch zusätzliche Stative für die Topteile braucht. Hoffe ich konnte dir alles beantworten.

Hallo ! Ich bin selber Boxen bauer , die Box ist wirklich gut 👍🏻bis auf die Klappgriffe . Sie klappern im Betrieb , nutze liebe versenkbare , spart gleichzeitig Platz und man kann Sie besser verpackten .

Ich habe den LMB 115 gebaut, bei mir geht luft bei den Griffschalen herraus, was hast du zum abdichten verwendet? Genügt Silikon? "thanks"

You'll need minimum 20mm for excursion. I bet when the bass hits hard your cone hits the grill? Don't lie yes it does.

This subwoofer has a Xmax off 5,5mm, it never hits the grid. The magnetes add up around 6mm.

Ja ist mir im dann später bei den Tests auch aufgefallen, wenn man mal richtig laut macht hört man ein klappern, mittlerweile sind Schalengriffe verbaut, lässt sich auch noch super tragen und die Störgeräusche sind weg.

Hi, the cost of this box was arround 80€ and the chassis costs 140€. I think this box can handle this subwoofer because its very strong build and has around 180 litres.

Der Plan ist leider nicht so gut und die Messungen im Forum leider falsch, wäre selber fast drauf reingefallen und habe jetzt den besseren Bassreflex Plan von Bockseb benutzt.

Thanks for your question, i am using tuff cab for the painting. The reason is because its cheaper and it has the same effect than Warnex on wood. You can see it at 14:15

I would like to build these for Eminence speakers. how do you calculate port length?

What eminence chassis do you want to use? I have to say that i didnt calculated anything for this speaker because it was my first subwoofer and I want to have everything right, thats the reason why I used a plan. I recommend that you also search for a plan because their are buildable, calculated and measured. If you really want to make your own box you can use WinISD or WinBoxSimu.

Hi, i forgot to film this part of the build, you can see at 3:46 that I made a template with my CNC Router and then I used a flush-trim bit with my hand router and cutet it out, after that I made the hole with my jigsaw.

Hi, nein leider nicht, dass passt von den Leistungen her einfach nicht, die E800 würde die ganze Zeit im Clipping sein. Ich selber benutze die T amp 2400 und ich bin echt zufrieden damit, gibt natürlich auch noch andere vergleichbare Endstufen.

hello, supernices ding ich will mir die grade selber so bauen. Ich wollt nur erfragen was du für holz benutzt hast denn das sind die ersten boxen die ich baue und ich will die kosten möglichst gering halten ohne scheiß zu bauen wortwörtlich. Unten in einem Kommentar meintest du ja das Gehäuse hätte 140 Euro gekostet und die box 80 euro. Was ist davon was und, entsprechend dem Material welches du verwendet hast, wo hattest du die platten erworben bzw wo meinst du kriegt man die zu einem guten Preis? Ich habe mal nach 18mm dicke multiplex gekukt und komme auf andere endpreise als du angegeben hast. Über ne Antwort würde ich mich mega freuen C:

Servus, danke für deine Frage, also ich habe für alle meine Boxen Multiplex benutzt, wegen den Preisen haste glaub ich was falsch verstanden, also das Chassis kostet bei Thomann 140€ neu, für das Holz und Anbauteile usw. hab ich ca. 80€ pro Box bezahlt, damals waren die Holzpreise aber auch noch ein bisschen anderst, habe dass damals direkt beim Holzhändler in Halbformat Platten (2,5x1,25m) gekauft, hoffe ich konnte dir helfen.

@@thanasi4025 Okay grad mal bei mir geguckt, da ist im Ende auch nicht viel mehr Abstand. War etwas verwirrt weil das Gitter doch recht tief im Gehäuse drin sitzt.

Wenn man einen Lautsprecher mit mehr Hub einbaut, reicht das natürlich nichtmehr. Dann müssten Holzleisten drunter. So wie hier könnte man die Front allerdings komplett weiter herausrücken. Und hätte etwas mehr Volumen.

No, this box has around 180 litres and a 12 inch subwoofer cant handle that much volume, you have to use a smaller box size.
