Top ranked Patterson Clippers (16-2/6-0) needed all 32 minutes to escape a pack Dunbar Poets (15-3/4-2) gymnasium with a 49-47 victory. The Clippers trailed most of the game due to poor shooting and an aggressive Poets' defense. Patterson eventually settled down to convert easy baskets on Poets turnovers. With 17 seconds left, the game came down to a free throw contest and a last second shot. Patterson's Marvin Price led the Clippers with 18 points and 11 rebounds.
