This is an awesome video. What would be even more satisfying would be to see the before and after photos (completed pedicures) of each client. I'm not a professional, and it's good to see how gentle (yet thorough) you are with the cuticles. I tried using a cuticle bit with my nail drill a couple of months ago, and I'm still growing out the deep grooves I made in my nail beds. Bad, bad mistake.
@meticulousmanicurist7 жыл бұрын
Oh no!!! I'm sorry that happened. Nail bits should not be used on natural nails. I know there are people on KZbin showing that but it should never be done. At the lowest setting, it rotates 53 times per second! You could put a hole in your nail very quickly if you press too hard not to mention you could file your nail right off. Well, lesson learned don't try that again :) There are full-length videos on all these clients in my video lists, you can see before and after there:) thanks for watching

For some reason, watching this is so relaxing. I appreciate that you don't use gloves. I feel that with gloves it is easier to injure the client's foot accidentally because your grip isn't as good and you don't feel the force you are applying as well. They are just feet, I don't know why people think touching a foot is gross. I wouldn't go to someone unwilling to touch my foot.
@meticulousmanicurist7 жыл бұрын
Hallelujah, my thoughts exactly! I think people who take patron protection seriously, and not afraid to touch someone's feet, are not spreading any kind of communicable disorders. There are people who don't care if their tub or tools are clean because they are wearing gloves and don't care if the client is exposed as long as they don't get it. And don't flip out people, I'm not saying you shouldn't wear gloves if you want to wear them or you don't clean your tub or tools if you wear gloves. But there are places that don't clean the tub or tools, and these are the places spreading warts to the public. People make comments all the time about being worried about fungus, that is your least concern, be worried about warts.
@gurohyena54227 жыл бұрын
The Meticulous Manicurist Nail Tutorials I agree! I have seen places like that and have actually turned around and walked out of at least two here in Atlanta because I didn't feel that their surfaces looked hygienic enough, and low and behold the technicians were wearing gloves. I know that gloves are a choice and not every tech who wears them is unhygienic or a bad tech, it is just my personal preference not to go with a tech who does wear them. I have nails that grow weirdly, (all but my big toe and pinkie toe the nails curl under rather than growing straight out.), and I want to make sure my tech can see and feel what is going on in order to provide he best experience.

I have not heard of some major outbreak of infections from doing people's feet gloveless. I don't know about you but I keep my feet clean and most people don't just have masses of infectious bacteria all over their feet and toes. Most any bacteria or germ on the feet can be washed away easily and is not infectious. If a customer's feet were so unsanitary that I worried that they had something contagious, or displayed signs of infectious disease, then I hope the nail technician would politely and privately direct them to a physician and decline to work with them. Feet are no more disgusting than hands, probably less so since most people wash their feet and then cover them with socks and/or shoes when walking about, where as people touch all sorts of things with their hands through the day.

how come you dont wear any gloves???you touch the clients ingrown sh@t without gloves...how you protect your hands from mycosis and oher??🤔🤔🤔
@meticulousmanicurist7 жыл бұрын
I'm not touching it with my hands I'm touching it with the tools. You only need to wear gloves if you're being exposed to bloodborne pathogens. I wash my hands before and after each client. You can tell when the fungus is present because the nail plate will be lifted off the nail bed. THIS INFORMATION IS FROM NAILS MAGAZINE AND THE CENTR FOR DISEASE CONTROL AND PREVENTION (CDC) {“Salons are not considered a risk area for infection,” emphasizes Dolly Sinha, health communications specialist. Statistics provide additional assurances: While the CDC says 79% of drug users test positive for hepatitis C, only 1.6% of the general population does. Most Americans have little risk of contracting hepatitis C, which is spread by direct blood contact, most commonly via shared drug needles, unprotected sex, and tattoos or body piercing done with unsterile tools. Also at risk are people who received blood transfusions before 1990 - when blood banks began to screen for the virus. Hepatitis in the Salon is an Unlikely Scenario Rather than "waste your time" screening clients for hepatitis (which anyway could be considered an invasion of privacy, not to mention offensive), invest your energies wisely in the same practices that help to minimize the most commonly transmitted diseases in salons: colds and flu. Perform services in a manner that does not draw blood, sanitize work surfaces between each client, and sanitize and disinfect all implements between each client. Implements that can’t be disinfected, such as orangewood sticks and some nail files, should be given to the client or thrown away. Just as importantly, sanitize other high-touch surfaces - such as door knobs, light switches, and faucet handles - throughout the day to minimize the spread of bacteria and viruses. Just don’t go overboard, or implement extreme practices for the wrong reasons. For example, the CDC’s Sinha views sterilization of nail implements as completely unnecessary in nail salons.}

Its okay if you fell good and that mess from nails not disgusting for you. But it seems like clients not wash under the nails for months. I work with pedicures too. Especially, If I performed gel polish some clients do nothing to their nails from 1,5 to 3 months :) because dirt is invisible behind polish. :)
