Yeah I love Jaden Ivey (especially after last night) but he's not a great fit and the most valuable dude they can still reasonably trade. The Pistons are just not gonna use him as well as some teams could. He's a secondary bucket getter but not in the way Cade needs. His 3's gotten better but not enough you'd prefer it to a specialist, and even if it gets to that level, limiting Ivey to JUST a 3 point shooter wouldn't do him or Cade justice.

Like this roster is competent now, but they need a wingman or a 1a/1b for Cade to compete, and they're at a crossroads where that's gotta happen by next season. So to your point, I'm not against them waiting 'til April as long as they don't stall for any longer. They're gonna need to jump on an opportunity quick if they wait though, which is why I think they go now. Ivey is valuable and it sucks to get traded, I just see him being both more valuable to someone else and more valuable to the Pistons as a major trading chip
