Trying to set the cut off voltage to 3.2 volts I get to 4 flashes then next option I get a long flash/beep but not five flashes. Has the newer esc changed?

Ok, can you do the same trick on the modifides,gluing the putter rim on the tire for the carpet and can you put a tire grip on the tire for a painted concrete surface

Yep we glue the outside edge of the right front for carpet racingon the EDM. Might not need tire grip if the concrete is brushed style concrete but if it is smooth you might need it.

Will changing the punch mode make a differance in the speed of my car?

It doesn't change the overall top speed but you will notice it will give you a little more power at the initial hit of the throttle. It is not a lot since these motors are so small but there will be a slight change.

Is there a open channel on the RX or other option to run an I-Laps transponder?

Yes, you can plug a transponder into the port used to bind the car to the radio.

Does the 1rc EDM have a Deans connector for the battery or an xt60?

All the 1RC cars have a 2 pin JST plug for the battery.

Yes the gearing in the sprint car is the same as in the EDM.

Yes, all the latest cars come with the same ESC.

Yes both the sprint cars and EDM use the same gears in the rear end. The midgets have different gearing than the sprint car/EDM.
