Hmm - living in the UK this automatic locking feature is pretty redundant, but interesting to know nonetheless. There's another feature that has puzzled me - if you hold the unlock button on the key fob for a few seconds, both the front windows open. Is that something else that is US specific? Also the button that says 'hold' with a semi-circular arrow above it doesn't seem to do anything, nor does the boot open button on the side - the boot opens automatically anyway if you stand close to it for about five seconds.

Safety first! My 2022 Kona Limited has a similar feature but not quite as extensive. Will remember that (I love gadgets) when I get my next Kona.

Annoying that there’s no feature to auto lock the doors when leaving the vehicle! My 2013 Mazda had this feature and I’ve been trained to not think about locking my doors.

The key fob has to be quite close for me to use the auto unlock feature when walking up to the car. It works maybe 30% of the time and sometimes I have to really put my thumb on the thumb print to get it to recognize me lmao. I’ve just started using the key at this point but is this an annoying occurrence you’ve encountered?

I would check the battery in your remote. Sometimes i have seen when a battery gets weak it can affect it. 👍

The buttons and HVAC controls under the infotainment screen look OLD. For a second, I thought that this was an older car with an aftermarket radio installed

My 2018 Nissan Leaf, auto locks when I start to drive and only unlocks when I turn the car off. That way when I get to my destination, put the car in park, I have time to gather all my stuff and when I'm ready to exit the vehicle, I turn the car off and all the doors unlock.
