They weren’t meant to have an extensive knowledge of psychological theorem. It was just a practical shot in the dark to see if they could suss out the mole. You can’t just go off of definitions or texts within books or lectures or research papers (that’s not part of what being an empath is either). You actually have to put things into practice. The way someone walks can reveal things about them. It was fun and interesting to watch too, btw. Normally I would agree with what you said about anxiety but for the most part I don’t think that was misused here.

A sociopath will feel something akin to satisfaction or smugness when they win, especially if they guide things to go the way they want. Here's how I could tell who it was. At first she remained quiet to feel out the room. She didn't display ANY obvious traits, almost coming off as too perfect. When she knew she was voted for her demeanor changes. She becomes more talkative and came off slightly plastic in the way of trying to pretend to relate to other people as in "our favourite movies are kind of the same!". Tugging on the heartstrings of people via a dead pastor once she was confident she could lie straight through this game was a surefire way of ensuring these more emotional people would feel bad doubting her after that. The homeless part was extremely smart, but Sociopaths can be exactly that. She didn't become empathetic through homelessness, she learned cognitive empathy. The last dead obvious giveaway was you see her mask drop once she knew she won. Her eyes widened and she was satisfied she had done her job correctly.

I really appreciate her and she seems happy but it took a tall on her health too. I inherited some of her traits, but I am a bit more anxious about it. I feel the need to put others first, but I also sometimes just don't have the strength and then I shut down and get depressed for a long time until I gather enough courage to go out again. Maybe if I became a nurse I would be happier than just working on my own. I feel out of touch with society focused developing your own brand. Every self proclaimed “empath” ive ever met tend to be the least empathetic people and are usually very selfish and a pain to be around.

As an autistic person, Allyson referring to autism as “the tism” really frustrated me. It’s like making a disorder all cutesy and childish which makes people less likely to take it seriously.
@Annalette89 ай бұрын
As an autistic person....I actually love using the term "I have the touch of 'tism". not because im belitting the spectrum, but its easier to tell people while making them laugh.
@f_e_r_n12559 ай бұрын
@@Annalette8 That’s fair enough. I understand that it’s different for everyone, it just makes me cringe tbh.
@marszz3339 ай бұрын
I think it’s cringe that there are people out here who actually self diagnose themselves as being on the spectrum or Neurodivergent. I think it’s the weirdest thing ever.
@f_e_r_n12559 ай бұрын
@@marszz333 Well you have to self diagnose before you diagnose if you’re figuring it out on your own. Also around 80% of people who self diagnose autism are correct. However I do agree that many young people diagnose themselves to be trendy.

This person was on "special books by special kids" so, it was immediately a dead give away. Try using people who havent been previously noted for being a sociopath.

I mean a lot of people don’t know what that is or wouldn’t recognize her. Plus…clearly it worked still. Plus a lot of people who volunteer for these things would probably be people who are open about who they are and what they go through.

@@mishynaofficial her homeless comment was suspect because _she_ had to experience homelessness herself to understand it. She didn't due it via empathy alone
