They met again in the AFC Championship Game. That Cincinnati OL zone blocking in '88 was sick. Munoz, Montoya, Remmers... So many All-Pros on the field... Esiason League M.V.P., James Brooks, Woods, Holman, Eddie Brown, Munoz, Fulcher, Krumrie, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Andre Reed, Bruce Smith, Cornelius Bennett, Conlan... ridiculous.

Love watching these old games because back in 1988 we didn't have the NFL On Demand like we do today. Maybe, some rich guy down the street had the satellite set up at his house but that was really rare and I never had friends like that. By the 1990's sports bars took over and every game could be seen out at the bar.

The Bengals offense had over 41 minutes of time of possession in this game. A precursor for the Bills to their fate in Super Bowl XXV against the Giants when they surrendered over 40 minutes of possession time.

From 1986-1989, this was the only year the Cleveland Browns didn't participate in AFC Championship Game as these were the two teams that appeared in the 1988 (season) AFC Championship Game.

Icky woods played great this game! I bought a few steaks from icky when he was selling them out of his van after his NFL career ended. I didn't even want the steaks since I assumed they were stolen, but i felt bad for the dude. I wish I remembered if they were good or not. Since I don't remember they were probably average. If they were amazing or horrible I'd probably remember just fine!
