I play a magma barrier titan at 82. I also go over to Parrying Motion around the merc area of the tree which grants 1% move speed for each time you block, which can make me zoom when there's high enough density. I take Avatar of Fire to be able to focus on fire scaling, and then also scale ignites. I don't focus on crits, in fact generally take resolute technique, so I'm not one shotting bosses, but I can do some good damage, and ignites can be pretty good. For clear, on resonating shield I have armour explosion, and then on magma barrier, I have exploit weakness, so most of the time I can just shield charge to enemies, and then resonating shield. The resonating shield will often kill them with armour explosion before I even need to trigger magma barrier, but if not, magma barrier will hit them, and if they've stayed alive long enough to get armour broken, then it will deal 50% more and remove the fully broken armour status allowing me to explode armour again. I'm also gaining endurance charges from block, so I couple that with infernal cry, which will empower shield charge, which is already dealing a lot of damage. On top of that I use Hammer of the Gods for situations where I need a bit more damage, with ignite duration and potency support. This is good for enemies out of reach. This seems a bit more well rounded than the build showcased, but not as powerful in the one-shot department. But I'm not in trouble for anything that's hard to block, shield charge and magma barrier individually one-shot most stuff mapping. Anything that's got a reason to stay alive past that rarely can survive the combo, and if there's a tricky enemy that's both able to survive a shield charge and isn't easy to block, then hammer of the gods will handle it. Can generally 3-4 shot most map bosses with magma barrier. The tricky part is getting them to trigger it, some don't have easily blocked attacks. But again, shield charge starts to do reasonable damage too. I've got a 1300 armour shield. I think the big difference is the focus on crit and crit scaling, while I scale non-crit damage. This means you have to focus a lot on guaranteeing the crit, which is fine, but if the crit is not available, especially if you don't have first strike or can't use magma barrier. I guess "kill bosses reasonably OK with a few different skills" isn't nearly as catchy a title as "1-shot every boss in the game" But your clear video in the breach at the start is WAY slower than my current setup. Your move speed is super slow, your AoE range is bigger than mine, but you're only killing on magma barrier triggers. My build will have me moving way faster because of parrying motion, and armour explosion is probably killing a majority of the small monsters without even needing to worry about triggering magma barrier, and magma barrier removes any rares that survive the explosion, and anything else left I'll infernal cry and shield charge.

i wasnt able to get the extreme damage you have, but i found the unique boots that trigger decompose on step, and that combo'd with magma barrier really well (poison cloud explosions) and that really helped my clear.

I was building the same as infernalist - Magma Barrier, but i would run Avatar of Fire and cap fire to 90% with the help of "Unnatural Resilience" Node and throw in Cloak of flame. Combined gives you 70% of all kinds of damage to fire damage and 40% phys dmg to fire dmg. Also, with Infernalist ascendancy altered flesh which converts 20% of cold and lightning dmg to fire. It still on theory crafting as of this stage, but this one rocks too!

Not sure if it applies to this build but if you use exploit weakness support gem in magma barrier.. it will do extra add extra damage (%50) if your resonating shield breaks armour and this damage applied as AOE. Also armour explosion on resonating shield might be better (compared to rage) choice but not sure if it works in this build (might be optional choice for clearing swarming mobs).

Idea: You can one-shot bosses with Shield Wall Skill + Trampletoe Trimmed Greaves + Hammer of the Gods Skill (Overkilldamage reflects from Shield Wall elements, more elements more overkill damage = one-shot). Maybe you can combine this with your Magma Barrier skill instead of Eye of Winter skill? If it works you can avoid a lot of int requirement + gems for your desired 10 % crit chance.

Yo I'm running the same build, although I gave up on building for crit as it is hard to gear this build well on SSF so I went Resolute Technique. Have you tried swapping out Unbreakable on Resonationg Shield for Energy Barrier? Looking at your tree you might not have enough ES recharge to make it work as well but for my build I found letting myself get stunned periodically kept my ES constantly recharging while clearing packs, even chaos damage heavy ones. Takes a bit of work to learn how to juggle the stun metre but there doesn't seem to be any kind of internal cooldown on Energy Barrier so it can chain trigger in rough situations, and my ES ticks for over 1000 a second now. Also I don't know why life reserved isn't working properly for you but mine is still at 50% full with 2 Beidat's nodes, the same as it was before the patch. So not being on low-life with full Beidat's may not be intended.

My infernalist MoM molten blaster still has low life with all the reserved life nodes.... ended up not taking pain attument anyway because I didn't end up going crit.... But I am running the other low life 50% attack node. Not sure why its not working for you though....

Magma barrier base crit is 5% if you don't allocate Struck through (and you aren't taking it) in tree, that's why you sometimes don't crit

Now i want to do some testing with my infernalist. The reserved life reducing maximum as well sounds unintended. Edit: As an update. Pain Attunement is working properly for me with Infernalist life reservation. I had a bug where my life was showing close to max and it was not working. I rezoned and my life properly reflected the the reserved amount with maximum amount and using the pain attunement unique it raised my critical damage bonus.

I think the reservation stuff is a bug. You should be considered as low life and get pain attunement as well. I actually started this exact build but I felt like the crit will require too much investment for start and wanted another direction. I landed on gemling and I'm so happy with it. Everything is just so good for the build. I stack str for an amazing amount of life, I can use all gems for flammability+exposure (using solar orb), The extra qualify is great for magma barrier and I have 1 extra gem level.
