The main issue with the current Maplestory is that levels 1-200 have a good amount of content but those levels are basically 95% pointless and levels 200+ have a severe lack of content aside from doing dailies/bossing. Back in the classic days the game had a better spread of content, yes the later levels were bad too in the old days and that was being fixed way to slowly but it at least in my eyes was less of an issue back in the day.

My friend that came back to see how things are now got his trusted status removed and now we have no idea when it'll come back. Literally just killed all his motivation to come back and play. They need to fix this ASAP if we're going to get any influx of new players..

I mean in a week, when solo raids are here, it should be so easy to fix, no? A new player will get trusted status automatically when he cleared a solo raid which is close to his itemlevel. Wouldnt that fix the problem instantly? Bots cannot "bus" solo raids and I highly doubt anyone can write a bot that can clear Valtan on itemlevel consistently.

The random trusted status is 100% because of machine learning. This is Andy Lin's responsibility. There are too many false positives. My theory is that because the bots continue to adapt, their behavior is starting to blur the lines between a real player and a bot. Spending money and having an old account was immediately bypassed at the beginning. Now the training data is saying that real player behavior is botting. The only activity that i think that doesn't overlap with the bots is doing the raids. Bots are doing all the dailies. I don't even think Mr Lin could tell us what behaviors constitute trusted since machine learning is treated like a black box. And if they did reveal trusted status, the bots would just follow the guide. So, just scrap the trusted status all together.

Solo raids would make me come back to the game, im currently hardstuck in the beginning because nobody plays anymore in the lower levels.

if you don't have trusted status you don't even get event powerpasses etc

to new players do hanumatan+ or higher guardian raid ( hone to 1540 with pass with una gold) and do valtan or a higher raid i get it back after doing and lose it after not doing

This is the mentality of a gate keeper, you are not taking into consideration low roster lvl / low cards / low elixir people that get jailed after joining the games for months/years. This game is dying because not everyone can put in 4000 hours before getting accepted in grps. They want to save the game by attracting new players and casual players

Its just couple of days and its very low price for controling bots , i had problem with it around 1 week and thats it.just do your story and act like a human being it will over very soon.

Simple solution. There is no need to ban any bots, put hard measures on RMT users and the bots will be less and less over time. No demand no bots. I have no clue what AION did but many people said after they RMT they get banned within 5 minutes not sure if this is true or fake but my points is instead of focusing on bots focus on players who break the rules and perman ban them. Not the bullshit we gonna make -48M gold, sure the account is unplayable with that of a loss but they still can play the game which I think it is unacceptable + they keep the items. Just perma ban them, we don't need them and there is more value in doing that for players who RMT than for bots who don't give a crap about and they will be on in a sec again.
