What were the exact concentrations and volumes used in the video? Assuming that is a 1L beaker, that's way more than 240mL (200mL glucose, 40mL 1M NaOH) you are adding. I'm trying to repeat and my reactions always skip the blue colour, and go straight to green. How much water did you dilute your indigo carmine in? Assuming a rough1:1 ratio from the video and the recipe in the comments, adding 1g indigo carmine in 200mL, plus your glucose/NaOH solution, and trying this in the lab with distilled water, the blue reaction step is not repeatable.
