No wins are ever easy (unless you play easy teams ofc). I give South Carolina credit for playing harder teams as it will show what they need to work on and to help them go back to back! They need Watkins back for sure, clean up the shot selections, play good defense, rebound better and this team is pretty solid! I’m a longhorns fan but I have grow to love watching the gamecocks play! I’ll be rooting for both of them this year. Except for when they play each other ofc!

I hate to say it but they need Cardoso! I miss her. As tall as Tac is she’s not steady or solid. She’s all over the place and her foot work needs work. Cardoso was soooo solid in the paint. She kept her hands up and followed that ball. Whoever is coaching the bigs needs crank down on Tac’s foot work. And for goodness sakes ALL THAT HAIR IS WEIGHING HER DOWN.

It is amazing to me that these announcers keep talking about South Carolina's great height advantage. They don't seem to realize that the Michigan starters are collectively 5 inches taller than the Gamecock starters. They are taller than we are in both guard positions and the small forward, or three position. We no longer have the height advantage that we had. She graduated. Our girls are going to have to play more together this year than last year. And we need Ash to get back as fast as she can. I do believe that Michigan will be ranked a some point in this season.

Joyce Edwards, on a drive to the basket, gets a brush foul called on a Michigan big, that takes away a basket, then gets a no-call a few seconds later on a follow shot. As a former baller and a black woman, I just don’t know how these girls can play with all those heavy long braids and wigs. It just doesn’t make sense to me. It gets in the way. And they look wild out there. Edwards’ hair is too long and heavy and gets in the way. If I were coach I would regulate that cuz it’s toooo much!!!
