Vandy came out smoking. I said oh snap what if THIS is the upset game?! 😂 but the gamecocks got it together lol I was worried at first though lol

Yeah, I wasn't concerned mainly because Vanderbilt came out strong, seeing as most of SC's opponents have done that, only to fade in the later quarters. And I knew that even as improved as Vandy is this year, they still were no match for the depth and talent of the Gamecocks, in normal circumstances. What did have me nervous in the beginning was how much of a hangover effect SC might have after the emotions of the LSU game which might cause the early, temporary good play by Vandy to continue into the later quarters. Fortunately, for SC, that didn't happen.

Perhaps, but I've learned over my years of following Gamecock WBB that whenever I've questioned Staley's coaching decisions, more times than not, she's been right and I was wrong so... In this case also it appears that she made the right decision again. The results of the game bear that out.
