I just switched to a guidos web and Muddy sticks and the first few times trying to hang all the sticks in one trip I got extremely frustrated. After watching this video I decided to try the one stick method and I am SOLD. Very easy to do and hardly anything to pack for the walk in. I can be 25' and sat down in the web in 8 minutes and that includes unpacking the web and putting it on. I haven't mastered coming down yet but with some practice I will get it. Just takes me a little longer now that's all. thanks for the idea!!

You're like a ninja. I thought I was hardcore for using a trophyline tree saddle but you've humbled me. I use the Cranford foldable detachable screw in steps when I can and lone wolf sticks when I have to. I hate hauling them all out there though.

I knew when you said Bouge Chitto in the BC buck bed vid you had to be from either MS or LA. I had to look at the link below to find out for sure. It runs right through Pike county. I'm a FF from McComb and I think this method if done with proper gear is almost fail proof. We check our gear daily and if it's not safe we don't use it. Great stuff!!

Nice video! I am looking to switch to this method only saddle hunting. I like the one stick method. Thanks for sharing.

I prefer & use the one stick the most because it's light & versatile. I use the 3 sticks in some cases - limby trees or when my 9 yr old hunts with me. I haven't used the climber in 3 yrs. It was strictly for demo purposes to show a hang-on can be setup just as fast as a climber.

Sometimes people just showing off what’s they can do but not even useful. I recommend the steel tree climber, lot easier and faster man.

@aarongalloway727111 жыл бұрын
What size harness do you have? I wear 34" waist pants, so I assume I would need a large with normal clothes on. But I didnt know if that would be too tight with winter gear or bibs on.
@cbigbear111 жыл бұрын
I've tried the mini, & find it harder to climb with. The full length stick allows you to grab the top of it & help pull yourself up. The mini is to short for this. For me the one lb weight savings isn't worth it.
@cbigbear111 жыл бұрын
I have a XL. I wear 36" pants. I'm thinking a large would be a good fit for you. I wear my harness under my cold weather bibs & let the tether hang out the front zipper on the bibs.
@thedevine0611 жыл бұрын
I am curious if/how you would like the lone wolf mini stick with additional rope step instead of the full length stick?

Interesting to look back on this. I no longer own a single piece of this gear!!! The stick is now a helium, the stand a LW, no pack, & the aider is a sling.

Smart idea. Just seems like too much work. Just carry two more sticks. How much could they weigh? Not much. Stick to my Summit climber.

Sticks average about 2.5 to 3 lbs a piece, much easier to carry more sticks plus be quieter.
