I always enjoy learning from your videos Jordan. I've been teaching pickleball for over 40 years, but always pick up great tips from your videos! No, you don't talk too much. You do a great job!

This was really instructive. I particularly like the embedded text balloons. They give me good stopping points to pause and digest what I've heard so far. That makes what follows even more instructive and valuable. Thanks Jordon.

Good instructional video. The main point is to hit not only deep dinks, but to move the ball around (never hitting a dink in the same place), hitting angled dinks, ones that make your opponent move or to hit while making adjustments.

Yes, keep them pressed with your aggressive dinking

Hi Jordan, another fabulous video. Thank you for making these. I was curious what is your "go to" PB footwear?

I like the content of your videos, its precise and helping me to improve. Thank you and appreciate it. Just a request if you can cover over head shots including paddle grip for both forehand and backhand overhead shots..
@primetimepickleball3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Overhead forehand is here kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZnCkpmcid2ZqK8. Don't have the backhand overhead video yet. Thanks for the suggestion.

My general philosophy for NVZ play is to volley whenever I can (making a controlled shot). This takes that "decision-making" out of the immediate play of the ball. I find that if the ball will land within about 1 ft forward (unless it is a big stretch to reach on either side) of the NVZ and anything deeper, I will usually volley. I have not found that this interferes with making a "bounce" dink when appropriate, since I do my best to have the paddle back to my ready position immediately after every shot I hit.

Sounds good!

Thanks Jordan for all of your teaching videos. I am just learning to play pickleball. So it looks like you can step in the NVZ to hit a dink as long as you immediately step back? The rules can be confusing at times. Your wife Katrina is really good too.
@primetimepickleball2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can step in to hit it. It's ok to make contact with your feet in the kitchen if the ball has bounced. You should step back immediately after your shot to get out of the kitchen otherwise if they can hit it at you and force you to volley in the kitchen in which case you will lose the point.

Hey Jordan I was wondering if you can show your ground strokes and your serves in slow motion so we can emulate. Show them in a repeated cycle 3-4 times so we don’t have to keep rewinding to review. Love your game and techniques, excellent stuff.
@primetimepickleball3 жыл бұрын
We'll consider doing more slow motion in the future. In the meantime, here are some videos we already have up that have slow motion in them: Pro Slow motion serves (very similar for forehand drive groundstroke technique) kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5ilgYOlpLR1jLM Ben Johns forehand slice return slow motion kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHnKnYakYtWth8U Backhand slice (slow motion starts at 8:40) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmGrdqyedtiEnbM

Just a question...I'm a 4.5 player, amd I'm wondering why u don't talk about dinking to the weak side of a particular player.
@primetimepickleball3 жыл бұрын
We do talk about that, we just didn't in this particular video. That is a good idea so if you're doing that then keep doing it.
