I don't think the South African judge reall knows HOW good those two are! he should feel luckey to be in the same room as them!! I know i felt that way at CRC! they did an amazing job. They should be proud!

both their duets were awesome! this one was definitely was more sultry and sexy than their previous duet, but i definitely think they could have put a bit more fire into it. they did an awesome job though, made the irish dancing look more like a tango.

Bernadette Flynn is a gorgeous woman and amazing dancer! I've just discovered her and Michael Flatley in previous videos and I am an absolute fan: can't stop watching them! I believe it is probablt they had a relationship though: when you see their very special alchemy in their duets and also one thing: gestures don't lie: LOOK at how she drops her husband's hand to hold the one of Michael at 3:28 !!! Her husband tries to hold her hands but she doesn't even notice it. Hehe. Lovely couple though!

"Fiery Nights"!!! This routine is mostly from LOTD. Was one of my favourite parts of it. The sax and the violin are so sexy. Really adds to the atmosphere. Bernadette and Damian were fantastic. WTF was the South African judge going on about?! D: geeeez.

Judges probably expect to see more latino/salsa/tango kind of performing in every duet, but this is Irish dancing and their way of expresing passion and similar emotions are just different from what they expect to see - classical eroticism and sexuality are lowered to a minimum, and are epxressed in such different ways.

I love the Chinese judge. Every one is just giving all this crap and long speeches and he's just like "I give you 8" and is done with it. He's also so cute in that little oriental outfit of his. And I agree the South African doesn't know anything about Irish dance.

I find it surprising to find that Bernadette never had a relationship with Michael Flatley. She was his romantic lead. And although the South African judge got a lot of flack, he wasn't abusive, and he seemed to always be able to point out things that needed improvement.

I guess it is because sex sells, and judges expect to see something a bit more explicit - maybe that's why they give them such low grades... And just because they aren't ripping each other's clothes off doesn't make this dance less passionate and sensual.
