We have watched you for years. It is very seldom that we comment on any you tube video because we watch you tube on our tv. However, today I thought I would let you know that my husband (James) and I (Ann) really love to watch Cog Hill Farm. I really love all of your animals especially Moody and Loretta. I have told James so many times that I've never seen a cow as beautiful and BIG as Moo Man. He is the sweetest "Teddy Bear", and Loretta is such fun to watch too. One of my favorite videos ever was when Loretta ran off with that pumpkin. Those little, short legs were just running as fast as they could so she could enjoy her pumpkin all. by. herself. Another favorite was when y'all put the hat on the donkeys, and Honey just kept the thing on. We laughed so hard watching her and you and Brooke laugh. Also I have NEVER seen anyone with a green thumb like yours, Jason. I can't believe what a beautiful garden you can grow. I believe you could plant nuts and bolts and they would grow into something beautiful. You both are such sweet, caring people. We never miss one of your you tube videos. Thank you so much.

You never harm any of your chickens, ducks, geese, pigeons, pigs, cows, horse, donkeys, goats, emues, dogs, cats etc. I love how you respect your child's privacy. You never ever force her to come on your channels. That's some major respect, in my book. I'm a 67 year old goat. Never married or had children but I love watching you and Brook, how great yall work and get along. Sorry I can't give $, I'm too dirt poor but I'm glad for those who can and do support yall. Growing up on a farm and on a relatively poor community, I remember with fondness (sorry for the guys that might be grossed out) in the years of my primary school ( 5 - 10 Years age) when we had to walk to the bus stop at around 5h30 am in winter in order to catch the bus at 6 am in winter, we would break the ice on the cow troughs on the way and eat it as we walked. We would also play spider on the netball field at school before it started which would be white with frost and ice. Shoes (those who had) would be wet for quite some time, but , what joy we had, no cares just living and enjoying everything carefree. I miss that.

My 3rd winter in Alaska I lived in an older ranch-style house. That winter when the temps dropped to just over 20° our water lines froze. For the next 6-7 weeks I had to drive into town to the laundromat with several empty 5-gal jugs and get in line. Though the water was free, the 12 mile drive in deep snow there and back was a heck of a price. Got ALL my evasive bad-weather driving skills up there in AK. Y'all are blessed to not have to endure that! That I finally moved back down to Oregon AND I'm sane... It's a miracle, hahaha. Keep warm down there y'all! (Foggy and about 38° in Portland.)

That heavy frost or snow covered trees. So beautiful. That's why I love Michigan winters. We put heaters in our watering tanks so the water doesn't freeze much. If it gets really cold, sub zero teens, we may have to do some ice breakup but it's still not as bad because the heater is working some. It can't compleltely keep up but enough to make breaking up the ice not a hard job.

I had so many bluebirds where I lived in Minnesota. Washington county has a very high population of Bluebirds, I did a ton of study and years of experience. Use the Bluebird nest box and face the opening towards the south and east, away from the prevailing winds. Keep the boxes at 5 to 8 feet off the ground, and away from low brushes and tall grasses that can hide predators. I would mow a nice clearing around the posts so the birds could easily see if they were clear to come and go. Another help for the Bluebirds was a second nest box about 20' away to bring in Tree Swallows, they are like minded birds, and they usually show up first. I found that out the very first season I started to set up nest box. The Swallows patrol the skies as they hunt for higher flying bugs and the Bluebirds hunt closer to the ground. Both birds will nest comfortably near each other. You can have fun with your family when you study the nesting process. After the eggs are laid you can watch for the hatch at about 15 days, then you can open the box to check on their hatch and you have 15 days to watch the chicks develop after that do not open the box or you could force them to fledge too early. Bluebirds can have up to 3 clutches a season, on the other hand the Swallows have only one and they are more private, so I don't disturb them at their nesting time. Keep fresh water in open bird baths. Mealworms for Bluebirds, they also love Sumac berries to get them through before the bugs are out. I had double sets of nest sites in 6 areas around the property. I was so happy to see all the babies each season. I have also seen Wrens and Chickadees us those deep nest boxes. Have fun I love birding. My information is from areas outside the Twin Cities Metro, open lands are best.

Right now it’s Monday @8pm and we are at 0 degrees. My insides won’t stop shaking and I have a heating pad on my back. I will change temps with you Jason. 😂🤣 I have family in North Alabama and I’m jealous. Even North Tx got snow which is rare
