You guys are so lucky that you picked now to listen to Carti when he sounds normal again. He doesn't drop often and he's been experimenting with a sound people call "baby voice" for quite a while now which to be honest... is not the best when every song he drops has it. It's one of those "good on occasion" sounds but he was obsessed. It seems going into 2024 he's going to be experimenting with the opposite and a way deeper one that he did at the end of this video. I don't think Carti will be someone you guys will enjoy overall, but he definitely has a few songs you could at least appreciate - probably his older stuff.

u see me comment a lot on these videos and i do love all the lyrical stuff but carti has been my most played artist the last 3 years now lol. If lyrics are a must then u won’t like him but it’s just the sound. When u listen to him the beat is always gonna be amazing and he uses his voice like an instrument over the beat. Him and uzi are similar in that they work out a flow that sounds good on the beat then fill in the words after rather than doing the lyrics first so whatever words fit go in the song as stupid as they sound. U might never get it, im 19 and i only got into carti in 2020 before that i thought his music was weird but since i got into him i’ve been obsessed, it’s perfect music to play when ur doing jobs around the house or when ur not actually listening to the words and u can just vibe

Some info about Carti for you guys: 1. His music is not about the lyrics, its more of a vibey thing 2. There are different era's/styles carti has gone through. When he dropped his mixtape "Playboi Carti" he was more about rapping, then in 2018-2020 in his first two albums "Die Lit" and "Whole Lotta Red" was him using his famous "baby voice a lot" Which you guys heard in this song. Great to see you guys reacting to Carti!! I highly recommend listening to Whole Lotta Red as its a very experimental album that might spark your interest. He also has his own label "Opium" with artists like Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely. Its definitely an accustomed taste, and its considered to be semi-underground, but its really all about vibes, the beats, and the energy presented through the music and videos.
