I love ST Tape. But I usually have to drive it a lot harder than that to get anything out of it. With both the amount and input. Would like to see you're THD meter on this one, cause I feel like it doesn't do anything if that needle aint moving/bouncing

Absolutely! It is my favorite of the tape machines I've used. Don't get too caught up in the metering on it, with tape machines, sometimes it is more about the subtle change you are getting. As long as you are moving the VU meter you are getting a good input into it.
