Nice vid D! Love the table games vids you make. Playing the trips is kind of a suckers bet, as the house has around 2% advantage over you, and even the payouts are so lame odds. However, if you dont really care about that, playing the trips bet can be fun and more action for the player, but again you worsen your odds. Remember this comes from me, who had 10 years experience in the Casino business ;)

An 8-6-5 trips bet with a 2 percent edge is an even better bet edge wise compared to the main ante bet. If you take into account element of risk and basic strategy then overall the ante is better. But the way they play, the trips is a much better bet.

@@jamesontang3218 I can guarantee you, all side bets in any live table game at a casino, is a so called "suckers bet". However, if the person enjoys it, gets thrills from it, its worth it. I was just stating it worsen your odds for winning, and I can see I am not the only one saying so on video from Daniel.

And with the way they were playing, the trips bet was a way better bet than the ante/blind/play. All good though.

Have loved your videos in the past but hard to watch without the trips. Unless you are gonna be 4x betting according to basic strategy, which you do not, just paying the ante and blind is awfully boring. Trips can be fun and help create decent momentum to increase your bets if your hit it a few times. Plus the house hedge isnt really all that bad compared to a lot of bets in the casino.

just play basic strategy, bring a good enough bankroll , and dont play scared and u can play on the table for quite awhile. And if the table awards 6 for a flush and 5 for a straight on the trips bet, even better.

Any pair in your hand you should also quadruple. Any hand down to k-7 you should quad, you can also quad q+j suited, and j+10 suited. Plus the trips bet doing half your actual bet is wicked worth it.

The thing is , especially in a casino where the house has an edge on everything. You should bet the maximum when u have greater than 50 percent chance of winning. This game u should have a decent bankroll anyway, but u gotta max out ur favorable chances when u get them. Betting 1x with an ace high is the equivalent of just straight up folding a hand. Good vid with mom anyway.

They call trips the sucker bet, but honestly it pays the best and if you are running good, that's where you make the best money. I honestly think it's worth it doing half of what your normal bets are, and then the numbers come out to 43%

Pains me to see you lose so much money from not betting on your trips! It does give more advantage to the house, but still bet at least half of what you're betting on the Ante so you can get something from it, especially when you're on a hot streak.
