Great performance. Big mistake by Harris. I don't know what she was doing so high to start with. I know many people don't like Solo's off the field antics. However, on the field, realize the many, many times where she was the difference between victory and defeat, especially in major championships against the top teams.

Big mistake by Long. Just like the goal by Holland last September, Long got caught too far forward, unaware of the tactical situation behind her. Defense requires intuition she has not yet learned. Johnston, Klingenberg, O'Hara, and Krieger are all superior defenders. She plays with such brio at midfield, it seems silly to use her at CB.

I like to see goals dispersed amongst different players. I was happy to see that. The goal from Romania was a good ball over the top. Unfortunately all goalkeepers have been caught high up against teams. The defensive line being a 3 back being new to each other will always require time. Becky was pushing up b/c Jill wants that from the flank players but Becky is the best CB on the team. Allie Long is a true midfielder player now CB and she was caught ball watching leaving it as a 2 back with Short on the left flank. Yes Ashlyn was high up w/ a 50/50 ball but mistakes happen when the coach is experimenting with field positions. All in all Press with a Hat Trick, Amorgs with a brace, Moe w/ a goal and Tobin with a goal. A productive game (=

Like Meghan said, they likely can't afford it or they have a large turnover of players and it would be a waste to personalize a jersey for someone who might not be playing the next games. I think I remember something about the Costa Rican NT has so many young players who are still in college and also having to work other jobs and aren't able to play every game or don't stick around long, so it could be a similar situation there too.
