I think the best way to be free to play and still get a good experience is to almost obsessively start putting Pokémon into every gym you see, defeat gyms with weakened Pokémon and SAVE the coins until discounted boxes come along. Save the passes until the big events. That way you can have maybe 15 raids or more for totally free. But I do have to admit, being able to buy higher shiny odds is a bit unfair imo.

I wish a bigger deal had been made about routes? We didn’t know to do them. And I wished the espeon and umbreon had been in party rewards bc it was so hard to hunt those shinies. On day 2 of global it was so hot here that party play killed our phones and we had to abandon it.
